Do you think that the X10 is still profitable if bought now?

Now it is profitable.   If you get it as a gift.    But if you buy it, you should think yourself.  It is a risk not to get your money back!  Nobody know it!!!

Nothing is worth buying at the moment.
Everything is worth buying now if you think the price will go up by the time you want to sell.

I am using starpool.biz too for about 2 weeks.    But algo switching is not profitable.  Tryed every kind of combinations of algos.   Tryed also to use on one asic skein on another qubit and thirthd autoswitch between this 2 algos.       If you switch between algos you miss much good blocks.

To get more profit you need to choose only one algo and use it.    At the moment is skein the best there.   Qubit is a next one.    They are nearly the same. But skein is better, because of electicity.

True. But i don`t have time for watching profitability 24h\day. For smooth autoswitch result, we just need more miners and hashing power. But starpool more interesting place. Better than nicehash IMO for 5-7%

http://img0.joyreactor.com/pics/post/auto-9gag-1209008.jpeg

That is true.  I checked it already some weeks on starpool.   Skein is for sure the best.  And if we have more power in this algo, we find more blocks and anybody gets they % of blocks.    Starpool added some new coins in skein.  I transfer all coins in XVG with pass: c=xvg.   Avarage profit is 1350 xvg a day.  It can be more with more users in this algo!

If to less users profitswitch switch to next profitable block and do not close the block what beginn.

You can check the avarage profiotablility on a startpage on starpool.biz.    If you choose the algo, you can see a BTC Value, Avg Hashrate.   Formel to check the profit is:

BTC Value/Avg Hashrate * your hashrate.  You can check so the profit for a hour, for a day, for 7 days and for 30 days.   Also avarage profit for 7 days is on skein at the moment the best.   Qubit is every day lower. Skein is a trend every day some more!

Are you sure it  gives 1350 XVG on Skein?

I had it on monday.   Than I tryed qubit again yesterday.  It was 1380XVG.   But sorry.  I mine on 3 Asics!   It is an earn for 3 ASICS =)))

Thats the point Cheesy

You dont get 450 on supernova or so.   Max 400

You have more profit?  How much?

I was doing DGB, will try SuperNova today and let you know how much i got!

If we have more people on starpool on skein, it will be for sure more.   At the present MPH with DGB or supernova with XVG or starpool with less poeples is the same!!!

DGB and XVG directly profit stay some time the same ----->   But if we get more people to starpool skein, we all earn more!!!  That is my opinion-

stratum+tcp://skein.starpool.biz:4933        skein     pass: c=xvg

XVG is a big acceptance and the price will grow soon for sure!

Okay as you are advocating too positively,  Lets give it a try :-)
I’ll try to!!!
I need to configure a btc wallet at the pool or a xvg wallet whit these config (stratum+tcp://skein.starpool.biz:4933        skein     pass: c=xvg) ?

Thanks

MPH indicate CURRENT profitability per GH, not 24H approximate.

Thanks for the info, good to know.

It makes me sad to read this thread. Fighting so hard for .002 BTC per day. My x10s were good little boxes for so long. $40 a day, $80, $100. The good ol days I suppose.

Okay, thank you.

PS: the new Antminer from Bitmain of the X3 shows again how valuable the Baikal Gaint X10 is we have.

The Baikal Giant N is worthless, because the X3 of bitmain is much better, but with the Bitmain Antminer X3 you will never be able to achieve the ROI it BTC impossible.

Monero and Electroneum already announced hardforks.

The Baikal Gaint x10 is one of the best miners and I am sure it will stay there for a long time to come. Bitmain won't bring out any multiminer only miner the 1 algo can so is the Gai

They have just released the Baikal N for Cryptonight and it is already obsolete with 20 kH/s. Bitmain announced the X3 with 220 kH/s hashing power. Needless to say what is going to happen with the difficulty of all Cryptonight currencies. Not to mention that almost all of the coin developers are thinking about switching to a non ASIC algorithm instead. It is not worth to buy any of the two miners.

There are algorithms that you shouldn't mess with. Ethash and Cryptonight are good examples for this.

that's the way it is.

That's why you should always buy miners with multiple algorithms.

Baikal Giant X10 will remain very profitable even him the future.
Believe that the 2 new algorithms have been ready for a long time from Baikal, they are just waiting for the market to turn so that they can demand prices of 7000 usd again.

I have been observing Bulwark difficulty for the last couple of weeks and there is definitely something going on at the moment with Nist5 Algo as difficulty dropped dramatically during the last hours. It almost seems that Baikal is unplugging their X10's used for "testing purposes". What I have heard from 2 independent sources is that the X10 delivered from this week on already contain the new algos whereas for the X10 already in the market the new algos will only be released in 4-6 weeks. So let's wait, hope, and see...

What Hash rate of Nist5 your sources reported?
Which one is the second algo?

I would guess 10gh because NIST5 is similar to the x11 algorithm.

Which one is the second algo?

Based on the decompiled pseudo code of sgminer there are references to the new algos that are not fully implemented. One of them is NIST and the other is GROESTL. Both of them are treated as the rest of the 10 GH/s algos, so probably the hashing rate will be the same.

Second algo should be groestl.

But it is very strange. Why should Baikal add new algorithms and sell it without any information on customs???     And make a presale for 4000 USD in april?Huh!!!!!!
It can not be true.    Or  can anybody 100% confirm it???
