hmm need some more hints
which miner software from where?

If you check the "baikal" home folder, using terminal, you will find bash_history.
Who configured the system copied and renamed the file "sgminer_300MHz_fix_NoHW", maybe it's a custom sgminer version, locked at 300 MHz speed and with the algos we already know.
When ready, baikal will release a new custom sgminer version, adding nist5 (and groestl) algo support.
So, maybe that someone was able to develope and run his own copy of custom sgminer on that hardware.

smell fake ... scam coming , he probably ask you money to learn you ahgaha

Yes, I agree with you.   Grin
But OS is ubuntu and you can find sgminer at github, so a good developer could try.  Wink

I will wait for next baikal firmware, too risky for me.

nice say ... smart and sure way friend

network of bulwark has not raise , and if we have groestl , GRS will change algo , i dont know why but they dont want asic ... this is a good think for a network to be secure as much as possible , if not lagging ...
so we wont mine groestl so much in futur.

to resume nist5 and groestl are very limited new algo , even with an amazing profit (short time) Cry

The only project make me believe ... Holochain

Hi guys thinking of buying an X10 from Asicminermarket.com - they are listed in stock on the site.  I am in the UK and will be paying via bank transfer.  Anyone bought an x10 or anything else from them recently if so please let me know about the experience?  Thanks

I got mine there. Everything went smooth. They stayed in contact when Baikal was delaying shipment of the first batch. 0 complaints.

Someone tell me that is now possible to install NIST5 to mine BULWARK on X10.
This person don't want to explain me how to do !
Fake or reality ?
Some news about this info ?

no there isnt a new firmware that contains the new algo.

maybe he tried something else? find out and share!
Last I heard, someone had recovered a fair amount of deleted source code files (though unnamed) from the files-system of one of the sd images. I had advised them to search everything they recovered for the word 'baikal' in the text. It's entirely possible this was done, the missing code was found, and a custom sgminer compiled. Absolutely possible.

Hi,
Agree with you.
If someone find the code for nist5, he can add this code to the actual sgminer sources and compile it to have a custom sgminer.

If I would be looking for Baikal hardware, I would buy my large quantity order directly from Baikal (www.baikalminer.com).
or if I want a small quantity order, I would go to bittawm (www.bittawmart.com).

Asicminermarket is not trustworthy.

Trustworthy when the miners are working... But if there is a problem you are alone

What country are you in?

I have found that they respond fairly quickly (remember the time difference to China!). Usually within 24 hours. I just used the contact form on their site.  If you have your order number from them, it would probably help to include it.

That's kinda annoying that the customs guys get to decide how much something cost you, and then hold it. I'm sure that asicminermarket would be happy to print you up an invoice that said $150 (or whatever they put on the customs form).

Even $150 is probably more than the actual physical value of the combined hardware in the thing. I don't know where they get off giving you so much trouble. Maybe they know what it really is, and it's plugged in right now at their place Wink

It doesn't even have it's own PSU...  The software is offered up for free on the Internet... It should be on them to prove that an orange pi, a bunch of FPGA chips, a fan, and 12" of extruded extruded aluminum tube adds up to more than $150. Tongue

That sucks.

That was probably bad advise, because now they know something is up. If they told you to tell customs that, I'm sure they would be more than happy to give you an invoice for $1999 to make sure their other shipments to your country don't draw more scrutiny.

They should have just sent you an invoice for the number they put on customs. Prices of these things fluctuate all the time. They can't look at a website today and figure out how much you paid months ago... or even a day ago.

Anyway... I always got an answer withing a day when I used the form on their website.

anyone ever had problems with delivery?
I am from Ukraine and I worry about customs clearance.

Receive one this day in France
DHL send me a  SMS with http link to pay customs tax yesterday (61€).
Have you pay customs tax ?

Three weeks ago we wanted to buy Baikal Giant b. But we could not transfer money to their bank account.
The problems were with the transfer of dollars. Banks did not miss the payment.
And how did you transfer money?
Were there any problems with money transfer?

Thank you
