I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Yes crypto currency or bitcoin is definitely not a some sort of illegal doings or gambling. It is some sort of earning extra income and investing money. It is another way to earn by means of investing your money, not only money but time and effort also. I do not see any crime or illegal doing it bitcoin. In fact I suggest that our government support it.

Investing in Bitcoin, however, is risky, just like any other investment in this world. Perhaps that risk is why some people (uneducated people I must say) assimilate Bitcoin with gambling. I guess they would say investing in gold is also a gambling. Investing and gambling, although both contain risk, is very different. Gambling is playing with your money and based on pure luck. There is no analysis on it. While investment, on the other hand, requires analysis about the instrument future potential, legitimacy, etc. People who blindly invest in something is the same as gambling I would say.

There are a lot of bounty campaigns that is running out there so i do not think that bitcoin is gambling. There is also a gambling websites that focuses on betting your bitcoins and if you were super lucky then you can be rich within just one day.

Bitcoin is a currency.  You cant say money is gambling itself.  But if you invest your money and convert it into bitcoin,  now it is gambling.  Because you take a risk investing your money to a volatile currency hoping it would rise up in the coming days,  but you know it might also drop.  There is still win or lose in it,  so basically its still gambling.  The process is gambling,  not bitcoin itself.

For other people they refer to it as gambling since you you can either double your money or lose all of it in an instant.  But if you know what you are doing then it is truely an investment.

I will have to disagree, investing in Bitcoin is gambling, no matter if you are holding or trading, it's very similar, or even identical, to the stock market. People often trade or even hold their shares, just like Bitcoin. Both investments are a form of gambling.

According to my own analysis, converting money is called trading. Trading is different from gambling because trading is just buying but we know it risky but no bad on it, but in gambling it is like playing games or compete for chance to earn money.

Bitcoin is not gambling. Why would you use your money, effort and time if youre not going to work on it? If you invest some money to bitcoin related companies, you still need to be responsible to that and learn how to manage the money that you invest. But you can use your bitcoin in gambling if youre risky enough with your bitcoin.
