The mining goes up and the price goes down. It's really an odd coin...
Also very odd numbers if it is showing IXCoin with almost the same hash rate as Bitcoin.

Vlad, does it give you the idea of a coin reaching 10$ in 30 days? I think 0.25 USD could be an optimistic expectation, if I ignore the chart.

this isn't working either. NO BLOCK SOURCE AVAILABLE, it's not checking the network. There are a list of nodes: http://www.ixcoin.co/?page_id=21 that you need to add. so how do i do it on a mac, because the windows one doesn't work either.

Friction,
Who changed the logos on the website?
Did we not vote on the best logos, why are they altered or not being displayed? Who's the rebel?
The logo at the top looks way too big. And all the logos look odd without the circle (you know, like the coins we voted for, circles like a coin since this is a digital coin) and the top colors and coins voted on are not all displayed.
It would be nice if we voted on something that it would show in the end product.
Cause the way you had it done, friction, it looked nicer except for the stretched logo at the top.
I hate to bitch at people pitching in but we do have to all be on the same page here and it's clear as to what logos are preferred by all the people here.
Thanks.
I did the initial changes. Still tweaking. Right now until we get a finalized count of how many people like what logo, I can't really make design decisions. Also, it doesn't make sense to have more than one logo of the coin up there anyways, which is why I plan to ditch the lower section in the future and replace it with icons that actually represent the option (e.g. a package for the download page, a question mark for the FAQ, etc. Going to make the top smaller now, though Right now the winner by votes is: #1 (orange on black - 8 votes) The "category" winner by votes is: Red Logo/23 (7+5 = 12 votes) 2nd place is #12 (7 votes) There are 16 days of voting left.

I trust that he will do a good job. Feel free to do what you feel best. More design notes: When choosing a logo, it has to fit a defined motif. The biggest problem I have with #1 (orange on black) is despite that it looks great by itself, the entire site has to be designed around it. More troublingly, it's not complementary with any of the other designs from a design standpoint; by using 2 or more incompatible designs, you might as well be making 2 different coins. The set of (Red logo/12/23) is, however, complementary and seems to have the most popular support overall (7+7+5 votes); hence why I'm trying to design around it. It fits within the gestalt of the existing site; it's compatible with a range of reproduction formats, from stenciled (Red/23) to dual color (12) to black and white prints (23); it's simple and modernistic, which a) fits within current design themes and b) allows good 32x32 and 16x16 reproduction, which is ABSOLUTELY critical (see newflesh's post). This is not favoritism, since notice that I did not pick any of my own logos. I agree with the wordpress wiping out the circles; don't like that. That seems to be something caused by the template CSS. I'd rather some sort of subtle crossfade or something, but I'm not a CSS expert and so need to look at tutorials to see how to do that. Votes could change however since there are 16 days left.

Vlad2Vlad Can you look at this statistics page: http://www.ixcoin.co/?page_id=80, and start writing some text as to the meaning and significance of each chart? Use your economist training. Thanks. The problem with the IXC charts is that they're basically a flatline [relative to many alts] which does not inspire confidence. The one positive thing about the charts; however, is that it shows a positive historical correlation to BTC which is not true for any other coin. That said, this is the wrong time to compare charts as many other coins right now show a logarithmic [hockey stick] formation which pretty much dwarfs my positive correlation theory. Before this alt coin craze began, IXC was the only coin tracking BTC and I think that's still true but due to artifical demand in alt coins caused by unaware new entrants, scammers, pumpers and speculators many other coins have greatly risen in price, thus clouding the true potential of any alt coin out there in relation to BTC.This means you have to use some other form of analysis or your plain gut instinct when choosing a coin. For me it's easy cause I was around to see how well IXC tracked BTC while 99% of the alts (including LTC and other top rated coins) were in constant free-fall. Therefore, I don't think chart analysis would do much for iXcoin's case right now since people don't care about 6 months ago, they only care about the now; what's happening this instant and right now IXC appears to have stalled or flatlined. We need to change the image to get the price moving; that is priority one and with this new crew that seems to be moving along nicely.

I haven't watched it lately but when I was accumulating my stake I could have sworn this coin was being gamed by pro hedge fund traders. I even posted my observations [on this very thread] as I saw them and I even tested out my theory with a 5.5 BTC experiment which revealed some interesting results. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if this coin turns out to be manipulated and artificially held down by someone with an agenda. I suppose that would be a good thing if it's true so I'm not complaining.
