No wonder no one wants IXCoin... It seems the developers plan to screw everyone by scrwing with the number of coins.
Who can trustt a coin that pretends it will have so many in total then starts taling about maybe making more?
You are undermining the whole basis of trust.
Why not make Bitcoin go back to 50 coins per block while you are at it?
If no one can depend on coins to stick to their purported schedule of mining they are all garbage, might as well stick with dollars.
If IXCoin's minting schedule is not to your liking go use I0Coin or something.

Like I said, it will depend on the pools. If the pools drop iXcoin like a hot potato then it is a problem that we need to correct. So am just re-assuring investors that if that happens then there is an option. Fixes are made all time time, even in Bitcoin. One example, bitcoin does allow under 5430 satoshi to be relayed. Did they have that in the beginning? No. Why did they change? Because it was bloating the block chain. It is unknown yet what the effect will be, what we hope is that the pools continue to support the coin. Besides, maybe it is this fact that is holding investors down from owning iXcoin. They don't know what will happen in 2015. That is uncertainty that is not needed.

It isn't very reassuring to say the least if the current dev has a "trade with extreme caution" warning in his bitcointalk account.

This coming from a Digitalcoin supporter. DGC has adifficulty of 9.6? In comparison DOGEcoin has a difficulty of 1,500. You think Digitalcoin is secure? There are at least a dozen other scrypt based coins that have higher hash rate greater than DigitalCoin. In contrast there are only 2 SHA256 coins with higher hash rate than IXC. Besides, those negative remarks are from competitors.

Besides, those negative remarks are from competitors. It doesn't matter who it comes from. It also has very little to do with DigitalCoin's current hashrate. It's a good thing someone is maintaining the coin, I just think it looks awful trying to attract new supporters.

you are not reassuring investors, you are changing the basis of their investment. when one buys or invests in a coin one does it based on decisions made from the coins characteristics which are not expected to change. the point of ixcoin's minting schedule was to see what would happen when subsidy drops to zero and miners have to rely on transaction fees. Fixes are made all time time, even in Bitcoin. One example, bitcoin does allow under 5430 satoshi to be relayed. Did they have that in the beginning? No. Why did they change? Because it was bloating the block chain.
this was not a change to bitcoin's core characteristics. it was a change to the client. alternative clients can continue relaying and/or mining such transactions on the same bitcoin blockchain. no hardfork needed. In contrast there are only 2 SHA256 coins with higher hash rate than IXC.
it matters not that ixcoin has a high hash rate if >51% of that hash rate is from one pool (ghash.io). they can attack this coin at will. safe is having high hash rate plus even distribution of mining power. what's needed for ixcoin to survive past the subsidy drop is usage so transaction fees exist.

Why do people prop up from no where questioning the 2015 end of mining subsidy.
Meanwhile when we talk about developing the coin, they are nowhere to be found.
Just curious where all these people are coming from.

Anyway, if this is a real problem (mining > 51%) , it's a even problem for: - the most mined (Devcoin and Namecoin)
it is a problem for devcoin too. namecoin not so much since it has multiple large pools mining it. btcguild, eligius, ghash.io, discus fish. as more pools pick up on ixcoin it will be less of an issue. i think there is gash.io and discus fish as the big ones. i point it out as something to keep in mind when touting security due to hash rate is all. what other changes are planned for ixcoin?

There is a revolution to the horizon, due to to the fact now we have Frictionlesscoin (the only one really supporting iXc during the last two months) and LukeConnell, plannning to relaunch the image if iXcoin, along with markering and apps. The next two months? Well, if LukeConnell and and Frictionlesscoin (not two people, but two different teams) are going to work together for the greater good: this coin survived for two years without any kind of development and marketing, you tell me what it can achieve a coin closely mirroring Bitcoin's updates. Sorry, but this coin is only for the bravest ones.
If Luke ever returns

If Luke ever returns Well I'm certainly hoping that he will deliver the dev. resources to build mobile clients for iXcoin. I think that's the specialty of his consulting company.

Sundown cometh; time for work.
This new kid on the block out of nowhere comes in here bashing IXC. Pretty funny, I knew after his first post he had an agenda.
And I'm disappointed that none of you could answer him with the sufficient response and conviction.
Have no fear, tati is here.
Bring it, son.

@IamPingu,
I agree with your statement about Luke. He comes across like this is a major project for him but he's posted what, 8 times since he got here, and half those posts were to avoid direct questions.
So I don't know what to think. Maybe he's one of these kid pumpers on Cryptsy looking to make a few quick Bitcoins off IXC. That would be extremely short sighted given the true potential of iXcoin.
Let's hope Luke starts taking project Evolutio (Luke, you forgot the n), a bit more seriously so we can get the website done and do a formal relaunch for IXC.

I wonder why the pump and dumpers don't pick up this coin?
Is it because it is too difficult to acquire coins before a pump?

I just started pumping it to the Pumpers on Twitter. I think they haven't pumped it cause it's generally seen as a dead coin or a coin nobody would wanna buy. I've pointing out to them that we have a new logo, new website and a new dev team and most all, a very low float and IXC would probably pop 10 fold if they pumped it cause it's so hard to find coins. Accumulating coins wouldn't be a problem, it would just take them 2 weeks instead of 2 days but it would be worth it. Just 5 BTC can make IXC go up 5 fold so imagine 50 BTC at once.

Here's my new twitter pumper account. In 24 hours I've has nearly 15 pumper guys follow me and some are big Pumpers. So I think it's possible I've brought IXC to their attention cause before it was simply not even on their radar. This twitter thing is kind of nice. Very instant. I've got another account as well I use to tweet high end tech CEO's (ie. Elon Musk, Barry Silbert, Carl Icahn, Patrick Byrne of Overstock, etc.) and industry titans like Cameron Winklevoss cause a pumper alias would not look too good. I truly believe that if any of these guys would just look at IXC they would see what I see but so far I think my tweets go straight in their trash basket. https://mobile.twitter.com/XBTcoin

Here's my more serious twitter account for reaching CEO's and Industry tycoons. More of us should try to get through to these people. For me it's easy to do cause I truly believe everything I've been saying about iXcoin since day one and I truly believe it will eventually replace BTC. And yes, I know how crazy that sounds. You guys should join me on twitter, I love it. https://mobile.twitter.com/Vlad_Roberto

What we really need is some bounties to fully rebrand IX with a new launch thread and everything. No one is putting up an incentive for someone to spend time doing these things. A full-scale relaunch to the public
