Halong Mining Limited involves multi national setup with anonymous trails, once each documents were validated, those be uploaded to the investigations thread for others who are seeking legal action against them for their reference, however, each of them who decide to use those information should request official copies from each respective government or entities. As there are more business entities involved behind the curtain.
some may be recored audios, some may be photos, some may be may be recored screen of text/video chats, email with full heads, registrations documentations some may be from private communications and such.
Myrig announcement will always come from main account as one. as this is not a personal account as seen from day 1.

Sounds like a good plan (regarding taking the convo to a different thread).
Regarding warranty, I personally fulfilled repair services for all warranty services on behalf of Halong. I have detailed records in a spreadsheet of successful repairs.
Regarding the way I used the word “shill”, you’re right. That probably wasn’t the most tasteful way to say things.

Just wondering for clarification who handled the warranty repair of your miner? What was the issue if you don't mind sharing?
I posted the details in this very thread, the link to which I have included to save you hunting it down : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2443327.msg45143937#msg45143937All in all I purchased 5 T1's directly from Halong, all of them had failed boards of one type or another. At the end of the day I ended up with 4 working with all boards, and one that only has 2 boards that work. By then they were all out of warranty, so the chances of getting the last one working with all boards is slim to none. And I'm hoping they soldier on for a bit longer.

Thanks for the reply Biffa.
Phoenix sorry to say you are out of luck. Halong is essentially dead and there is no line on replacement parts for repair. Not sure of all the details, but I dont think MyRig was supplied with parts to continue offering a repair service.
You can always try posting in the marketplace that you are looking for parts, maybe someone has a near dead miner to offload.

Could try removing the board and reflowing it (heating the solder to melting point again) - ovens are quite expensive but most decent IT repair places will have one. Absolute worst case you could try in your oven... last ditch hail mary but might work (Google Reflowing Home Oven or something like that)

Sorry missed this. Actual board repair is outside my skillset. What you can do is snap some photos of the problem board and see if anyone notices the problem and has any advice. Good luck

Its been months since I’ve checked this thread but I am a little concerned about the recent posts. I’m running 5 Dragonmint T1s at the moment and have 1 with a dead board that I was hoping to get repaired but it looks like I’m out of luck with that considering MyRig is no longer doing those repairs.
Do the T1s present a legitimate fire hazard? Have there been other incidents of them catching fire? I’d like to know if they are safe to still run. If not I will be shutting them down.
Thanks

Most likely they won’t burn up . Many issues where caused by running them at top speed vs balanced. The myrig psus are not good engouh to run at top speed setting. Of the five I had I ended up like you four good one with two boards. I ran them at balanced and never really felt they would burn.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I keep my T1's running in balanced mode so I'm hoping they will be ok. I've tried to up them to performance mode in the past but the power supply would fail almost immediately. I'm going to let them run but keep a closer eye on them. Hearing about that guy having $250K worth of equipment burn up and the possiblity of a fire hazard because of a bad PCB design and components makes me nervous though. I didn't realize Halong was operating this way, skimping and lying about the quality of their chips and components. I haven't had many other issues with them other than the dead board and one PSU going bad. I actually sent the board and PSU off for warranty replacement back in August. They seemed pretty responsive back then and sent me a replacement board and PSU within a few days. Everything was running well until I had another board fail a few months later. I never got around to trying to replace it until now. I guess I'll just run it with the 2 boards and keep an eye out for anyone selling T1 boards on eBay.

They were a fly by night con job in the end. All this talk about bringing power back to the mines hands and all this other garbage about how they were going to be the better choice for equipment. The reality is, they did nothing more than sell a rebranded innosilicon designed miner. TLDR their business practices were incredibly shady from the get go, despite MANY of us repeatedly calling them out over it people somehow still decided to buy from them. You should not be surprised about a lack of quality when it comes to their single product they made before folding.

Been interesting to watch. Halong might still be around If Inno didn't pull the carpet on their t2. Then Halong struggled in a number of areas like you mention.

Have you tried another pool? Are you mining behind a proxy/vpn? Which addresses have you tried for slushpool? Do you have different addresses filled in for the Pool 0, 1, 2? For slush I use these addresses in case a node goes down: stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.slushpool.com:3333 stratum+tcp://ca.stratum.slushpool.com:3333 stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.slushpool.com:3333

There's not an option to change hostname AFAIK, although you may be able to set it in your router's DHCP lease settings based on the MAC address, there shouldn't be a fan check, only a temperature check.
