please post link  for firmware when you can.

I just drove over to the solar array and did

firmware update #1

firmware update #2  should be great  looking forward to it.
Will notify you and the forum as soon as it's up. I'm trying to push them to finalise it soon. When it's available you should be able to find it from the 'check for firmware updates' dialogue box.

ok...my bad.....good to know...but yeah...what I was shooting for...all and all ....oranges to oranges between models and companies

" a little better then the S-9"

that clears up how this all shook out

thanks

brad

Note I say this because I was looking to support ck.'s pool and don't mind mining with his pool first and slush second.
If you really want pool choice the T1 is limited .

My partner buysolar should be landing in China in 2 hours time to meet up with Avalon/Canaan  We will be using some of their gear very soon.

The Avalon 841 could prove to be a little better then any of the three in question.

Phil, you do some really great work for this community!!! Thanks for supporting -ck's Pool like you said you would, by aiming your
Dragonmint there. You are literally the first person I've seen, during this release, show support for -ck's Pool. This past week was the
first time I saw Hangolin's PR mention -ck. Just a small head nod towards his programming skills, but no mention what-so-ever,
about his pool's ability to run the Dragonmint.

Goodluck to yours and buysolar's venture with Canaan. The 841's I have are very stable, and actually work as Advertised.  Wink

When I was a kid  it was Ford, GM and Chrysler

So with  this gear  If it is Bitmain, Avalon/Canaan, Halong/Innosilicon.  I can work with it.

Things I like  about the T1  it will be software clock-able  So jury is still out  but I am hopeful that the low power choice does 1300 and 14th.

To those not mining at -ck's pool    why the fuck not?    I know variance.  So point 1 of every 5 of your miners.

5 T1's

1 T1

http://ckpool.org/users/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

this one is in my garage on first firmware upgrade
pulls 1608 watts 15.42th hash rate

https://i.imgur.com/awfzwv1.png

1608/15420 = 0.10428 watts a gh at kwatt meter

tomorrow I get 2 of these psu's

https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Power/Plug-Type/axi-series-config/p/CP-9020057-NA

I will hook the two up the my 1 Ti in house.

Use one with 2 boards and one with 1 board and the controller.   see what It drops to.

As a second point with this psu.  I got mine on sale refurb for 250 each.

If -ck is correct  and the low power setting is 1300 watts at the wall then one of these  will run  the T1  on 120 volts.

which for USA buyers  means something.

CK's link matches the one provided in Halong's chat, works well so far.

I've targeted my T1 to CK's pool, and started the performance tuning process. Feel free to follow along here:

doing the low power setting

gets 13.8th to 14.1 th at 1326 watts

here is a youtube video https://youtu.be/K_ksMluPUZI

this is subject to change  but it means

1326/13800

0.0961 watts a gh = king of efficiency.

this is improving  not getting worse  hash has drifted up  to 14.5  and still 1326 watts

1326/14500

now 0.0914 watts  the king  if it holds on

and a corsair 1500 watt

a evga 1600 g2 p2 or t2 will do this unit

Will do testing tomorrow with a cosair Ax1500i  at 120 volts  and at 240 volts.

So the new firmware rocks.

Glad you like it. The efficient mode is the only way I can run them at home with domestic levels of power available and tolerable noise levels from the garage. It's both the most efficient and easiest to handle setting (in all meanings.) The performance mode has a great hashrate as Dimaze is pointing out but it's at the top of what PSUs can handle and only for industrial locations, though I believe it's only as loud as an S9 (I've never had an S9.) I optimised the fan control as well which is why the levels are as tolerable as can be without temperature getting out of control. The fanspeed will run very low speed in ultra cold environments; these chips prefer to run in an optimal temperature range so that is the main thing the fanspeed is designed to defend.

I have no idea what price allows them a profit.

But a moq of 2.  Would help a lot.

The corsairs are due on Monday my guess is under 1295 watts since it is a titanium

What price and shipping speed, with the new firmware, do you expect this to be even with competitors? Not that you would get such...just what would be 'comfortable' now?

(assuming, they don't lower their prices yet again, which they seem to do weekly!)

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

They will probably lower price for it to make sense. Problem is once they lower, competitor will probably do so. And looking at the price of an L3+ now, I think there can be alot of fight here. U may wanna not go all in at once and instead, time your purchases in batches to get a good average buying price.

Just my 2 cents.

well  it seems to now do 14.2 or 14.3 th

at 1325 watts maybe less with the titanium ax1500i corsair.

it is quieter then the s-9 quite a bit and can run in a garage.

so the high end s-9 is 1288  the s-9 will do 13.9 is loud can not be adjusted and uses 100 extra watts maybe 120 extra watts.

So more hash
less power
quieter
adjustable

all make it worth more the 1288 the 14.0 s-9 with no psu price.

I think they sold these  for 1350 on black friday ? can someone confirm that?

They should under 2k  and moq of 2.

As these are better for a home miner then the s-9.

Buysolar is coming back  in 4 days from china we will be talking about the avalon 841.

The firmware is pretty good now  we will see what  we like better the 841 or the t1

s-9  drops down to second most likely third place.

so bitmain sells them cheap to hurt competitors.

lots of blood to come in crypto world.

Edit

found a corsair Ax1500i

hooked it up and  we are doing 1290 watts

that is on  240 volts 236 to be exact

dc to the unit is 11.94

my rig feeds 12.04  but was pulling 1325 watts

1290 watts is really really   good.  But the volts at 11.94  may cost some hash.

once you power off you need to wait a while for hash rate to settle in

1290/14200 = 0.090845

1480/16000 = 0.09250

so on low with a titanium psu it is better then spec.

need to wait to be sure about this.

Turns out the Corsair sagged to 11.94 volts which dropped hash to 13.8

I now hooked up the plat 2400 watt delta

It does 1305 watts and volts are 12.41

I get 13.85 hash.

You know you can retune it if the PSU delivers a different voltage. Just push the slider to efficient mode and it will tune it again.

Dang.......just when I thought Canaan was gonna be king of efficiency........this happens.

Oh well, if they do decide to drop the price to ~1.5k I will definitely get a rack of them
