I checked my unit and the fan power lines are the same color order as the Antminer S9. So at least on the versions of the T1 I have seen it's not the fans that are different.

Weird. As for the other person with the hashing, my recommendation is don't push it: T1's can vary in speeds and the best course of action is to run it at default or slight economy and just let it make bits of coin.

Thank you for checking the fan pin outs. Can you tell me the model, maker and specs of the fans you currently have installed.

The only ones that seem to work for me in either of my Dragonmint T1 miners is the GH12038B.

I can put these in either of the miners and they work without a problem they also work with the antminers I have. The problem is none of the other fans I have will work in the T1's.

Hi! Can you update de link? I wanna try if flash that firmware could help to revive 2 dead hashboards ( all red lights are on but still not recognizing).

I just purchased 2 of the (Delta QFR1212GHE) fans and installed them on the unit.

The issue persists that both fans do not spin at speed and the front fan stops multiple times. I tested the fans in an antminer S9 and they work without issue. I swapped out the OEM fans from another dragonminer T1 and they spin at speed and work just fine, where as the replacement (Delta QFR1212GHE) do not.

Any thoughts on what I may be missing?

New here. Maybe you solved this already, but...
Make sure your boards are pluggeg into socket 1,2,3 and not say 4,5,6 or another combination.
I did this by accident, and the machine would spin up, then slow down, then spin up etc, etc.

I tried to solve it by flashing different versions of the os. At some point I realized the control wires on the boards were plugged into the wrong sockets on the control board.

I also encountered a similar problem when flashing the firmware. To make this short, after flashing the new firmware, then the miner resets itself. I recommend that, after the miner resets, and be sure it has, you power down, wait a few seconds, power on again.

Good Luck.

Remove the data cable for the first board that returns the SPI issue; if it waterfalls to the next board, try removing it until you've isolated if its a single board or all of them.
These devices are notoriously shoddy. This SPI issue is likely a controller problem, if you haven't already replaced all of the cables.

Posting full logs will be more helpful.

First Post here, getting a lot of valuable info from this thread and want to add my experience.

Bought my first asic, an Aladdin T1 from Ebay.  Plugged it in and it started hashing, but I could not login.  Default passwords did not work and it would not reset.
Through this thread I realized that the Aladdin miner used mostly Innosilicon/Dragonmint components.  I couldn't find a credible source of Aladdin control boards so I bought a Dragonmint T1 control board.  The boards look nearly identical, except for one extra pin connector between the fan connectors and the board connectors.  Swapped the boards and the everything turned on and I could connect, but fans worked intermittently powering up and down, and turning off.  I switched the blue and yellow wire pins in the fan connectors, as described in this thread, and they worked perfectly.

Here is my current issue.  The Aladdin Miner uses 6 hash boards, while the Dragonmint T1 only uses 3.  All of the boards and fans power up, however the Dragonmint T1 firmware only recognizes the first 3 hash boards.  Does anyone have a suggestion on a different FW to upgrade to that will recognize all 6 boards?

@SharkyX
You could try Braiins OS with your own responsibility.
I think version 2019-06-05-0 is the latest one with support for T1, the later versions have dropped out the T1 support.

Is there any guide how to install Braiins on T1? Thanks

I just picked up a TI pretty cheap.  Hoping I can fix it.  I can't figure out how to load Braiins firmware on it. Can anyone help with this?  It does not have a sd card slot.

I have only found 3 firmware files: 11/2/2018, 03/11/2019 and one from 06/12/2020.

Hi all,
A n00b to crypto mining that got a Dragonmint T1 off ebay, mostly to try out mining and to learn a bit, seems like it should be more fun than just buying crypro. however I do think i should have bought an S9!
Thanks to Biffa i have advanced the firmware a bit

not sure if the original was a hacked one or just original but was pretty primitive and would not connect to nicehash (yeh i know, but as i said new and shiny and just learning and its SUPPOSED to be easy right?)  or show version numbers and fan ran at 100% all the time which was painful.
While things have improved its still not connecting, is the T1 just obsolete now and won't connect? do i need a diffrent pool?

I tried Braiins, but they no longer support the T1 and i haven't been able to work out if there is an old version that will still work and if there is where to actually find it.
Assume i am doing something simple wrong but struggling so far.

I got an old laptop mining (waste of electricity but proof of concept to me) so not compleatly useless but at a loss to this one... any bright ideals?

What status do you get? Is it only the pool throwing you issues?

I found an old Braiins firmware for T1 but can't figure out how to load it. It won't accept it through the web dashboard or through the bos-toolbox.

loops constantly
The rest of it now seems healty:
https://ibb.co/5LSfYDc
is my 1st ANSI miner but it all seems set right. Have triple checked pool settings, can't find an error, but it could be glaring:

Any ideas most welcome!
