Official announcement, project plan update, weekly report, monthly financial statements etc are published and people have a on-topic discussion about the released "news". This is what "The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread" should look like.

'Project plans' mean F@ck all.

Business plans, schemes, forecasts etc in this industry - you can wipe your arse on them all they are that useless - they DO NOT reliably reflect what will happen.

What has value is actions.

ACtM have a partnership with eASIC and that is soon to be announced. That has more value than 10 pages of b@llshit forecasts and business plans that will never materialize.

If in doubt check out BFL. And Avalon. And BTCGarden. And IceDrill. Mt Gox. The list goes on no doubt. Anyone care to add?

I must say that the level of stupidity and incompetence in this thread is astounding.  Roll Eyes

I am not even sorry to be so blunt. Stuartuk, you are a fkn idiot. Period. Keep running around and waving your hands a.k.a "have some action". You are a fkn amateur joke.

Lets move on.

If the management has no plan, the "action" can not be measured/compared. Importance of this is obviously way to complicated to understand for idiots like Stuartuk and several other morons yapping here.

Ken can run around like a lunatic and waste loads of money and energy but there is no way of knowing, is Activemining on schedule or not - because there is no schedule to compare to.

He can chat with "important contacts" all fkn day and run circles around a fkn office buildings. Guess what dipshit(s), we have no idea is this enough or not... because there is no plan to compare it to. Is this concept to complicated to comprehend?

Is your invested BTC working for the Co as expected?  No one knows! Because there is no way of measuring it or compare it to any fkn plan what so ever!

Cheers and keep on yapping

While reading what I wrote, use the most friendliest and relaxing voice in your head.
BTW, Things in BTC bubble universes are getting ugly....

lol you seem just a bit wound up, is that because I addressed your points and shot them down? Nevermind, maybe you could insult me into a victory?

When you say I'm a fkn idiot....are you referring to anything specifically? And an amateur at what??

And you think Ken is a lunatic.

mmm So tell me again, why you are here, and why are you invested in this project run by a lunatic? I really want to understand your motivations.

I have more shares in ActM than Stuartuk does guaranteed,

 Cheesy ha ha ha unless you are the second largest shareholder (CEO being the first) you can't even be hopeful that that's true.

Why should I believe you have ANY ACtM shares?

Are you feeling a bit under pressure after my post on the IceDrill thread? Trying to appear nonpartisan now are we? Pretending you are a shareholder when infact you are a sh@t-spreader?

And number of shares bears no resemblance to how important they are to you. You could earn 300k a year and have twice as many shares as me while I could earn 25k a year and the shares would mean far more to me. So a bit of a logic fail there. But keep trying, you are doing a great job.

Seems like at the current rate our Avalon Chips could be shipped in a few days.

correct:

Quote
  • An order of Avalon chips from steamboat's batch #1, for 68 Klondike-16 boards, rated at 68*16*282 = 307 GH/s

see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=252531.msg2685502#msg2685502

Which batch is the 2nd order from? Still batch 1?  Also, is Ken getting the Boards from steamboat too?  Confused a little there.

An order of Avalon chips from steamboat's batch #1, for 68 Klondike-16 boards, rated at 68*16*282 = 307 GH/s;
An order of 20,000 Avalon chips (end of May and beginging of June orders), for a combined hashrate of 20,000*282 = 5,640 GH/s.

EDIT: ok I see kens name on the spreadsheet.  Gonna be a second before we get those.

Right.

I haven't followed the Avalon shipments as closely - does this Batch #1 order contain in it the 20,000 chips that are mentioned here?

No, it doesn't look like it.  It will be a bit before we get those.  If Yifu is sending out 50k chips a day, it wont be too long though

Would you mind filling me in (or pointing me to the info) regarding all the Avalon dealings? What I mean is, as I understand it, we have 68 Klondike boards coming as well as a bulk chip order for 20,000 chips. The Klondikes seem relatively straight-forward as far as receiving them and getting them hashing goes. However, when those 20,000 chips show up, how quickly are we going to be able to take those from being 'loose' chips to hashing chips? Is everything designed/developed so that it's effectively a plug-and-play setup?

Our existing hardware assets from AMC liquidation
6 Avalon miners, currently running on BTC Guild under "Team AMC" for around 430 GH/s;
An order of Avalon chips from steamboat's batch #1, for 68 Klondike-16 boards, rated at 68*16*282 = 307 GH/s;
An order of 20,000 Avalon chips (end of May and beginging
[sic] of June orders), for a combined hashrate of 20,000*282 = 5,640 GH/s.

In total, around 6,377 GH/s, expected to be fully operational in the middle of August.

Thus far, Active Mining has blown this projection by ~95%.  In other words, mining @ < 5% of projected rate.

Are you implying that ActM should've foreseen Avalon taking a page from BFL? Should all projections be met with complete distrust?

I'm asking why you're placing that blame on ActM.

If i wanted to blame anyone, i would have.  I'm not saying that you should distrust anyone.  I'm simply pointing out that Active Miner is currently mining at less than five percent of the predicted rate.  If you're happy with this, buy moar shares.

You said "ActM have blown" their projection by 95%. If you're attempting to say this isn't implicitly trying to assign blame, well, I'll leave it to other readers to form an opinion about that.

I'm not exactly happy with this specific outcome, but I don't see it as evidence of incompetence within the ActM organization. It's simply misfortune.

You are arguing with someone who has been trolling for a long time.  Better to have him on ignore.

As far as your other question, I dont know exactly who is making the boards or who is putting the chips on the boards.. ect.

One of the board can probably answer that one better than I.
