When you first navigate to the pages it says in the upper right when it was last added to cart or sold. On the chips it says "This product was bought last 2013-08-27 02:21:57" -- was this just a test of some sort? If it was an actual sale then holy shit (BFL purchasing from us? Cheesy).

When you first navigate to the pages it says in the upper right when it was last added to cart or sold. On the chips it says "This product was bought last 2013-08-27 02:21:57" -- was this just a test of some sort? If it was an actual sale then holy shit (BFL purchasing from us? Cheesy).

I'm wondering if Cognative is buying from Active.  He says that he is working with an american team to get 28 nm chips.

I don't think its BFL.

I just wanted to chime in and say: Our large 28nm order is NOT with Butterfly Labs.

I'll be back with a thorough update soon Smiley

Sort of amateur hour.. why wouldn't they make these updates on an offline version of the site and then simultaneously push press release and then website..

The press release would presumably be sent through Bitfunder, BTC-TC, and eASIC rather than the VMC website.

Exactly- stuff just appearing on the website with no context, estimated dates or explanation doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

When done correctly PR/marketing will really drive sales and pre-orders, you need to make a splash with new announcements.. not let them leak out slowly and then an eventual press release that holds no weight. If you need a case study, look at Apple: super secret product development, big lead up to press release building anticipation, announcement of highpoints of new products THEN rollout of detailed specs on website.

Just another example that shows Ken/team is amateur, it's a good thing a rising tide lifts all ships.

If you need a case study, look at Apple

I'm not so sure Apple-style pre-news hype is going to work on a company with no product history and which only a few hundred people have heard of. Still, you can dream.

The website updates have probably been carried out in the same way as all the other equipment for pre-sale has gone up, as and when ready. No major news so no major PR campaign is yet possible - so why delay items going up because of that? I'm also sure this new product line has been put up partly to show the endless nay-sayers on here what  big progress is being made and that the company is on full steam ahead. Yet you are still not happy. Almost beyond belief, but I've been around this thread long enough to know how many insatiable people there are here.

Should be a bloodbath when BF reopens.  Glad I got out last week!   Cool

Nice try. I'm looking at the chart right now on btc-e (Edit: oops I mean, btctctctc....), it's not moved much since a week ago.

Why is the price for Activemining at Bitfunder ฿0.00421302 and BTC0.005155 at btc.co? Is it a different security?

Why is the bitcoin price different on mtgox and bitstamp?
No its not a different security but they are different exchanges.

MtGox Price is not real since no one does sell there bitcoins and get the money to the bank account because mtgox takes weeks and months for doing so. Thats why the price is unnaturally high. Its not the same with those 2 exchanges.
But im ok with that now. I bought the same shares for less at bitfunder and will get the same div later.

But i still dont get why people pay one third more on some days only to remain on the same exchange. Whatever... doesnt matter when one isnt speculating daily but invests longterm.

Because I can never log into BitFunder consistently with 2 factor enabled. It works the first time and the just keeps failing. I can log into btct.co everytime which is why I prefer it over BitFunder. On BitFunder there is always the worry you can't get into your account even though the user name password and 2 factor code are correct.

Also weexchange is terrible I sent btc to my BitFunder account, thankfully it was only the minimum but it never showed up to this day.

There are many more ASIC chip manufacturers out there, how do we know Ken doesn't have NDA's with others too incase this deal fell through. I'm 100% confident that he's clever enough to have it covered.

I have never had those problems with BF or Weex.
