Actually, if something like a Bitbet shows up, I will probably just shut up and bet, because then I will have interest.

See, this is what I like to hear. Just put your money where your mouth is. No one cares Smiley

You're just hooked on absurdism, aren't you?  May i suggest Daniil Kharms?
Back on topic:
No, i do not think Active Mining is anything close to a good deal.

If Active Mining had solid management, solid PR, and had good chips & boards in production, it would be a good deal.

Active Mining has none of those things, therefore Active Mining is a BAD DEAL.

I hope i have made myself clear.

I think we understand you're not an ActM fan. You can stop frothing at the gash.

Just a reminder --
Who's in charge of keeping the stock propped up on burnside's exchange?  You're slacking! Angry

Yes, BOM costs are insignificant when you buy chips *retail*.  We're not talking retail here -- ken is mining his chips.  After the NRE, chip prices are negligible, too.  You already spent the NRE, so you don't care if you need to make 1000 or 100,000 -- the price difference is a fraction of the NRE.

So basically you agree with me that making your own chips will put you significantly ahead of anyone selling them (or buying at retail) when you are indeed mining with them.

Since you agree with that then you agree that AtcM is a good deal, yet you continue to lie to yourself.

Because he's a troll, who you should ignore.

And again: I have no doubts that you're deluding yourself, I'm just having a bit of fun with you today. I have no hope of convincing you, it's more of a way to "I told you so" in a few months.

Yep. We understand. You have made your point.

Are you going to continue screaming the same drivel into the room? Are you hoping to change minds? Are you just that altruistic?

What you just quoted actually responds to yours last two questions. But I'll do it again as it seems unclear. Answers are Maybe, No (at least not the cheerleaders) and No.

Alright, thanks!  Wink

Guys, come on!  Could one of you snap up a few "shares" on burnside's exchange?  Just about 30K would bring the price up to a presentable double-nought five.  The way things stand, why it just ain't decent.

Here is the original post to a thread that pankkake started a while back.....

HIRE A TROLL

I offer my trolling services.

Do you want to make some users rage? Reveal their dark/hideous side? Have some fun? Do you have no time to reply, yet have a hard time resisting duty calls?

What I am selling is not just dumb sockpuppet messages, it is carefuly crafted rage-inducing posts. Or simply proving a point. In can make people rage or simply make them look wrong while staying classy. You choose.

It's not a way to get your scam approved on Bitcointalk. It's not limited to forums or even this forum. It's everywhere users can write stuff and it gets read. It's not a way to make lies make sense, I won't do it and can't do it anyway.

It's a way of responding to stuff when you don't have the time.

What I would like the most is doing stuff like responding to idiotic comments or articles, for examples about Bitcoin. There are many in the French press, right now, and I have responded to some rather well.

Price: 0.01 BTC per post, i.e. 1 BTC gives you 100 posts.

Skills:
I have 10+ years experience trolling forums and have eventually been banned in most. I know how moderators think (and have been part of moderator teams, though I really dislike the job), so I can play with the rules if I want to. I'm used to threats.
I have an extensively tweaked browser which allows me to be faster than most.
Languages: English, French

Terms:
If I get banned before some interesting results you still have to pay but it will be 0.0005 BTC per post
I am not selling my identity, I am selling content, you are not buying sockpuppets
I reserve the right to refuse offers though I have little interest for political correctness

Which of our competitors is paying him?

this guy is clearly ice/crumbs, its the same writing style and he quotes French phrases.

it also explains why if he does post its four or five times a page rarely once - getting his post count past 100

Not to shower this bonfire in gasoline, but is there any grown-up IRL corporate stuff going on here, like financial statements?
Or is the IPO money, pretty much ... Ken's now?
Each time i meander over to burnside's exchange and click on this virtual doohickey, i wonder to myself:  Do all of these numbers have have any links to reality, or is burnside telling the truth, and this is really all a game?
I know a firm handshake is as good as a contract to you real men, but shaking hands is so hard through the series of tubes...
So, do financials exist?  I understand that they may be, you know, under the NDA...

The price dropped, and then recovered.
Down to .0027 and then back up to .0038

Will we have another drop?
Will it go UP UP UP?

I'm a total noob to this sort of thing, so let me make sure:

1.There's an exchange with terms explicitly stating "for entertainment purposes only" & that nothing on the site has any bearing on reality or any links to the aforementioned.
This is stated explicitly.  Explicitly.  No mincing words.  Burnside comes right out and sez it.

2.On this exchange, a company virtual identity with a London mailing address and Belize registration decides to hold a hootenanny   IPO.
To get the party going, a thread is started in this subforum, where kslaughter publishes a prospectus types up a few paragraph's worth of stuff --
none of which cames to pass.  All verifiable projections fall through.

3.IPO floats, proving that dumb greed is a many-splendored thing.

4.An advisory board is formed, the function of which is, at least in part, chanting "we are not a part of the company, all we can do is advise" and
"Ken would love to tell you, but you know -- NDA."

5.I would go on with this list, but i have just peed myself laughing.

BRB, pants.

Edit:  What, exactly, do most of the kids here expect to happen next?  (btw, just changed my pants -- hold off on answering for a bit, k?)

lol this blatant trolling is ridiculous. The board just got elected and we just started making our own chip. Smart long-term shareholders would expect delays but you trolls are either impatient or need to get a girlfriend and/or a job. I know if I wasn't interested in something I wouldnt spend everyday checking the threads and responding to my FUD religiously. You guys really need to find something to do in life. Jerking off 10 times a day apparently isnt cutting it
