If you urgently need money as of now, maybe you must cash out it with a trusted bank or app. If its not, you can hold it. And you can wait till bitcoin exchange become high again, of course for a much bigger money to cash out.

That was an awesome gift you have from your friend. $500 worth of Bitcoin is a good deal of money. You can send $100 worth of bitcoin in an Exchange get yourself in trading while HODL the remaining BTC's you have, it will mature over time just have a little patience and you'll get a reward from it.

So long story short, a friend owed me for a favor and since I did not have bitcoin before he asked If I would take it in BTC. I didn't mind since I can cash out whenever.
My question is.. what do you think? Its a decent chunk of money for me to just hope something keeps rising, do you think I should "let it ride" or cash out and just be happy with ~$500?
If you dont need your money yet just hold it because sooner bitcoin will increase again maybe early next year after this holiday season wherein most of users cashout their bitcoins. Its a good chance also to invest in altcoins just choose the one that is likely to pump sooner or later.

I think you are the luckiest. Because you had get bitcoin for dollar. If you have get dollars means that value is same and it will not change. It will be constant. But bitcoin is not like that, it value will keep on increasing and you will get more dollar then the dollar equivalent to now.Now the price is low,so don't sell it now.You have to wait now for the price raise further, then only you will get more profit.

Hold it for sometime if you don't need money. Sell half and keep half of it. I would not advice selling it now as the prices have dropped. Maybe wait for a while and sell when the prices are up.

Well. You can either hold it and wait for its price to rise. Or you can sell them.
Yes that will be good for this man. $500 is not that much big amount but still it is okay for small investments at start. As this person is a newbie so this amount is much enough for taking a better start. He has to get some experience with all this so need is just to analyze the market and then start with this amount. For now, holding is better option for him. Good luck to you.

Yeah it's not a big amount, but if he can manage to hold this for 2-3 year, $500 can easily be like $10,000 clearly. All he needs to do is being patient and act according to the market conditions.

You gave him 0.3 BTC in bitcoin. So he should give you 0,3 BTC. Yes it was expensive, but there is nothing we can do. Otherwise it turns out that he deceived you. Sad

If you need the money now, do not wait to sell it immediately because no one can guarantee in the next few days, your bitcoin value will remain $ 500. But if you're interested in bitcoin investments, I suggest keeping them and coming back a year later. Maybe $ 500 has become multiplied. Well 0.03 btc is not yet a big value right now, but I can't say for next two years or more.

Just forget about it and HODL, this amount may turn into a couple thousands within a year or even less, but don't forget the password from your BTC wallet)

I think it is better for you to let it ride or better to invest it in other altcoins and let it ride or perhaps HODL (Hold On to Dear Life).

I think that you should not be happy with that. Try to invest it somewhere. Or just hodl it, and probably you can get a lot more than 500 usd. I really recommend investing.

You should do some good research before investing bitcoin further as there are lots of fake websites. Otherwise, you can keep it, it will be a good amount in coming years.

You could either HODL the .03 BTC or with that certain amount, you can pursue trading. However I wouldn't recommend it if you do not have any experience in trading.

Wow nice, hopefully one of a friend of mine or a stranger is willing to give decimal of btc to me it will be much appreciated. But i think if you really need money maybe cash out it because bitcoin's is not stable tho.

If you have no experience managing bitcoin I suggest holding it, and look for friends to teach you bitcoin trading or investing in ICO.

Well, it will be all up to you my friend. You can hodl it if you want to be safe and wait for the price surge next year, you'll surely get some profit from it. You can also invest it in some promising altcoins. Buy those undervalued altcoins that have a great potential to grow bigger next year. I wouldn't suggest any as it is better if you check it by your self because at the end of the day the decision will be all yours.

I do not believe in the future of forks. Bitcoin is one and omnipotent. Sooner or later all forks will search, for nobody will be needed.
