It's more wise to invest in promising altcoin than to let it in btc. U can find any altcoin with bright future and with low price. For short time u can do 5x or 6x your money.

So long story short, a friend owed me for a favor and since I did not have bitcoin before he asked If I would take it in BTC. I didn't mind since I can cash out whenever.
My question is.. what do you think? Its a decent chunk of money for me to just hope something keeps rising, do you think I should "let it ride" or cash out and just be happy with ~$500?

HODL! I think you have more to win on the long term. just hold for as long as you can. Think of it as money you don't need, that you keep in the bank.

My suggestion for you currently To hold bitcoin in your wallet until the price of bitcoin become stable . Because price of the bitcoin is increasing rapidly in these days because the main reason is to increase in trend of bitcoin .
Bitcoin demand is getting increasing day by day and supply getting down , so if you can hold your bitcoin for 2-3 years then surely it will get changed into 20-30× price .
The best thing to increase more and , you should wait for stable in bitcoin market and then trade with Better coins to make profit in bitcoin by amount .

if you are given 0.003 btc then you should invest into bitcoin or to etherium that is rising rapidly and if it is high selling and hold until the price drops back so bitcoin is not in silence to increase continuously so you are happy for the future so much and thank you for your attention

First of all, it's your money, you can do whatever you can, but if you just spend 10/15 minutes researching Bitcoin skyrocket price this year, I bet you would like to hold and invest Smiley

It's really up to you man. It's your money. But if you take a look at bitcoin right now, why not try riding it? I think you wouldn't lose out considering that $500 dollar you got for a favor.
All i can say is just hold it in your wallet for a long-run. Let it grow. Bitcoin price now is drastically growing up. Just go with the flow of bitcoin. Im sure someday you will realize that its worth to hold your bitcoin, and this will show you signs of your future success. Anyway, its your decision after all. Good luck

In the current trend, bitcoin prices should continue to climb. So I suggest you can't cash it if you don't need it urgently.

if it's mine then I will invest into ICO or I will use for trading but all of that have a high risk. if you do not want to take risks then better save and hold until Bitcoin up again.

Yeah you are right holding this amount will give you a lot of profit in future and suggestion from my side is invest some more in bitcoin to complete the whole coin investment and then you will be amazed by the future profit rates and since bitcoin has gone so high the amount you have received from your friend is good for the startup and I am sure once you get profit from it then you will get addicted to it and will be pleasurable,

first of all congrats because 0.03 is kinda big amount of cash based on the current value of bitcoin. secondly if you want to double it then you should put it in trading, investing and gambling because these three methods are always proven to be an effective way to double up your capital but keep in mind that all of them are much riskier when compared to hodling.

This depends on how long you intend to hold ( if you were going to hold in the first place ). BTC's price has been overextended for a longtime now and a lot of people are waiting for a correction to happen. So if you dont panic sell when it happens, you could just wait.

You should keep it for some more time as it can rise, but still no one knwo whether it falls or rise. From my suggestion you should ask your friend to lend some more money and then add that amount to rise for some time.

Bitcoin is in rising position, but it is hard to predict the volatile of price.

If you are already satisfied wjth its current market value, I think it is okay to sell it. But I would suggest to rather hold it than to sell it already. The market price of Bitcoin is continuously growing since more people are now interested to it which makes the demand high. If you will choose holding it, bigger profit will be earned.

You can exchange the bitcoins for something that has potential to double in value or even more in the coming months. With a $500 investment in Bitcoin you would have to wait till price hits $34,000 to make $500 profit.

Also think of what bitcoin is lacking. Privacy, transaction speed and lower payment fees. Do your own research and I wont tell you what coin to invest in but only a couple meet the above mentioned criteria.
