You were one lucky newbie to start with 0.03 BTC in your hand don't you think? Are you in dreadful need of fiat now? If not, why not hold on to it for a bit longer. You can get more than $500 in the long run.

So long story short, a friend owed me for a favor and since I did not have bitcoin before he asked If I would take it in BTC. I didn't mind since I can cash out whenever.
My question is.. what do you think? Its a decent chunk of money for me to just hope something keeps rising, do you think I should "let it ride" or cash out and just be happy with ~$500?
For me, it is up to you if you need a big money and start a small business or it can be invest your bitcoin or be part of the trading activities which you can get a much higher profit, but just like what you said you are newbie in bitcoin so i think before you go with this kind of stuff just asked your friend that you are willing to be part of the bitcoin community. |

If you have an emergency for cash then you may take out it or transfer it into fiat money.Otherwise, you may treat it as an investment. Hold it or sell it I guess or well, if you want to make more bitcoin you could do that thing hold it then sell it to make a profit, or just hold it and make more bitcoins by mining or joining some stuffs in this forum. You are lucky to have a friend like that giving you some bitcoin without thinking twice, I am hoping to have a friend like that.

You are lucky because there are friends who send 0.03 btc or about $ 200, if I get 0.03 btc then I will keep in the wallet safe and I will add by way of buying, I am sure that the future of bitcoin will continue to improve.

You know, it's bed idea to spend $500. At my opinion better to wait a little and check market sometimes because everyday you have a chance to get more from it.

It's completely depend on you. If you need urgent money or like somethings then you can sell your bitcoin. But if you want more profits & have strong believe on bitcoin then just hold it until good time is coming. Hope you will not disappointed for this decision.

if you ask me on help well i suggest to use it on capital for trading. but first study on which coins you want to buy, make some research on what platform you want. and study on how trading goes by. visit some exchange and monitor the flow of the market.

Well the .03 btc is equal to 206 usd and probably i suggest to hold it though , the price of bitcoin seems low almost 6k usd so better to hold it or invest it on eth or ltc. |

If you have 0.2 bitcoins now, I think you can choose to keep it. It's not a big deal right now, and you don't really need it right now. You can keep it all the time, don't look at the price of it, and after many years, you'll find that the price of bitcoin becomes very high, and your 0.2 bitcoin becomes a lot of money. |

true, you have to hold it and wait for the right time to sell because as of now the market is still red meaning the value of bitcoin now is still low. you can also hodl that and invest it as a long term investment it would be safe if you will do that. |

Pretty much right now the value of that deflates because of the price decrease that is happening to Bitcoin. I say just hold it for a bit more and you'll get to sell that in a higher value because of the price hike. You can also buy and hoard some Bitcoins right now because it is price drop anyways. By doing this you will have a higher chance of getting higher profit in no time. Be patient with those Bitcoins it will pay off.

I did not read the whole topic, but I'm sure most of you were told to hold. I think that you yourself should decide, if you need this money urgently, you can withdraw if you do not urgently need money to wait and earn more than 500 dollars. |
