So long story short, a friend owed me for a favor and since I did not have bitcoin before he asked If I would take it in BTC. I didn't mind since I can cash out whenever.
My question is.. what do you think? Its a decent chunk of money for me to just hope something keeps rising, do you think I should "let it ride" or cash out and just be happy with ~$500?

I like your kind of friend! I think in other way he is trying to lead you on into Cryptocurrency investment and business. Well, I did think you think in this line and grab the opportunity to start up something with what he paid you with. You are left with the choice of reinvesting the decent chunk or hodling it and watch it grow; trust me, you will thank your friend much more later on. With the world tending into Cryptocurrency and high influx of new persons, you will sure be smiling soon with what you have.

0.03 bitcoin is a big value, i think you can do some trading or invest in altcoin. so after the altocin rising up your money can get the profit too, if you cash out that bitcoin into $500 i think it will be end. you can get some profit from your bitcoin, just a money that you exchange from bitcoin

It is a  good amount to invest in altcoin. Currently altcoins have being moving up and Ripple in last 24 hours has risen the max by around 80%. Had this amount being invested almost would have double by now. Other than also we do have good coins available for much lesser value.

Do you have any idea what bitcoin is? Do you know how your bitcoin profit? If you do not have any idea about bitcoin, then it is good for you to research about it.  With bitcoin, even its value decreases sometime, your bitcoin will surely profit. You just have to keep holding it and invest it.  If you do not need your money right now, just try to keep it then, after a while, you will be surprise when it profits.

You seem to be a budding entrepreneur if you don’t need the money then let it ride but make sure you store it somewhere you have full control over. You could also benefit from the wave of airdrops and Bitcoin forks which may add value also.

That should be really good friend of you. If I were you I would divide this money to 5. I would spend one part for new year. And other 4 parts I would buy different coins like lend, mona, xrp, env.

If you'll cash it out now it's already worth $682, so you are happy with $500 and look for doing nothing you have earned $182 easily. And if you'll keep on waiting or holding this for months or depending on how long you are willing to wait it can grow higher.

Hold it buddy. You have a chance of a lifetime there. Bitcoin is gradually growing up. And your money is also going up. You are making profit by doing nothing.

500 dollars is not bad but in bitcoin it can be greater than on it. So I think hold it and wait for the right time and right moment to cash it out.

I suggest buy it with a potential altcoin like xrp or eth or any altcoins that you think will give you great profit over the years, what are you going to do is put it on a wallet with private key and kept it like 2-3 years who knows after years of keeping it, you will become secret a millionaire someday.

it depends on your own, 0.3 BTC is great for now if you redeem it with cash, depending on whether you need money or not? I can not force you to put it in cash because this is your own money. If I myself personally well I must have exchanged it with cash because BTC is currently really up.  Smiley

Hi.
With 0.03BT what will you do?
I think I will invest in a legit site.
There are some legit site that you can invest with minimum 0.005Btc. And you get profit after 30 days.
But it is not a good solution

Dear Sir/Mdm.

in my opinion you may be able to invest or sell it in some existing market today, then you can shop the goods you want.

I think it is better for you to take it in bitcoin and hold it. In that way, that bitcoin that a friend gave you, can gain profit in the future. Make it a long term investment because the longer you invest your bitcoin, the more profit you can gain. Also, the price of bitcoin is continuously increasing so dont worry about your bitcoin.

It's up to you. Cash out if you need the money otherwise hold it. The price will likely go up if you keep it as an investment.
