Just keep this BTC and one day you may expect it to turn into 10 times thus giving you approx $5000./

If you get then you should be grateful and say something .It is better for you. If A friend sent you 0.03 BTC. and  it is better opportunity for you i think you should invest and you will profit after a lang time. and you should  make it a long term investment . because bitcoin price will increase in the future.

So long story short, a friend owed me for a favor and since I did not have bitcoin before he asked If I would take it in BTC. I didn't mind since I can cash out whenever.
My question is.. what do you think? Its a decent chunk of money for me to just hope something keeps rising, do you think I should "let it ride" or cash out and just be happy with ~$500?

Hi there Hawk77! If you need the cash, so you better wait for a while and cash it all out. But, if you did not need it for the moment you could just retain it in your wallet and wait for the moment the price sky rocketed. The five hundred bucks your friend own for you could be doubled in several months. Just wait and trust bitcoin, it will surely increase its price. The current price is little by little picking its speed upwards.  Wink

You can always invest it or do some trading if you want. You can buy cheap coins for now and hold it for while for it's value to rise.
It's is always up to you because it is your bitcoin. You have done a good thing of asking some advise here.

First, I invest it by making a trading account. And when it comes to profit from this account, then two friends will make a lot of shopping.

If you really need the money then cash them out. If you can spare thos .03 btc i suggest you do it, it can be for your own good. Or try to invest them in other coins

It won't hurt to try. If you have even just a tiny bit of curiosity and interest in Bitcoin, why don't give it a chance and take a shot in making investment in it. It is not necessary to put all of the amount of the Bitcoin you have in the market, start with a small portion of it then observe what will going to happen. It is also advisable for you to seek knowledge and information regarding what you are putting yourself into and how the nature of the market works.

I suggest just selling your bitcoin and try investing in ico or trading altcoins
You can get a lot of benefits from those 2 things
but investing into an ico sometimes has risks (scams, project failures, abandoned etc)
so I suggest you better trading altcoins

It is your call and depends on whether you need the money or not. I would definitely HODL that for the long term, but that is me. You are the only one that knows your needs and current financial status.
If you have the amount of  bitcoin and the time for you to hold and to take bitcoin as an investment you could definitely earn and have a profit with it. But if you will have the time to learn the system of bitcoin in the platform of trading you could have a more chance to earn specially on transaction as you will deal in the right decision to buy and to sell your bitcoin at  the right price and time.

We'll if you do not take it out, it can be rising it's worth. You can just save, it's just in case. Rising as Bitcoin's value, the more you use it. You can also cash out, if you do not really have money, you can do more than that. You can even get to grow or build even small businesses. You can also use it for family or daily needs. It's up to you, we're just wanted to say our suggestions or tips, it's your money, the last is your decision. Or you also make sure you keep it in a place that you can control and grow. Or you can get benefit from growing an airdrop. If you really interested in Bitcoin's growth or the growth of your money, you can still search in how to make earning, like joining here in Bitcoin forum or in bounties, you can also use your money for foundations or charity, great help for those are in need, such as Home for the Age, Non-family or non-living, children with sickness and no medical treatment. The last decision is in you, because it's your money, we gave you some suggestions to get you an idea. Good luck to you pal.

You should be happy for that. Over $ 3000 and you should invest in other coin. It will make you profitable. Potential co-workers like ETH, NEO

If your not in need of cash. Why not  forget about your BTC for now and try to look at it after 5 or 6 months and if you can set your alarm exactly one year after the same date you received your BTC.  You may appreciate it more after that time.

I think you should invest them in the good ico. or 1 potential altcoin. That can help you increase your income, a good ico. You can sell them at a very high price and get a bitcoin.

I recommend to join ICO, with join ICO then 0.03 btc will increase drastically, but do not carelessly join ICO because many ICO are scam, choose good and recommended in this forum.

There are 2 opinions for you. You can hold it wait for the development of Bitcoin. As you can see the growth of Bitcoin recently, It has reached ove $18k. Or you could use it and invest in ICOs such as Livestars

I think the best option is to save 0.03 and do not use it unless you have a very urgent need. Investing is ICO means you want even more profits but there is a risk of losing money too. So if you are new and do not have much knowledge about alts and Ico, I will suggest to keep away from them. You can also learn about these ICO and then invest in a good one after sometime when you have good knowledge.
