Already got an upgrade. Had it for a few weeks now. It's actually not mine but I set it up for a buddy. It's been having more issues than the other one, but with the upgrade, I'd say it gets about 850-900GH. Can't really overclock it though because it had experienced issues - pci-were melting at the psu - and had to replace to a higher wattage power supply; although I don't know if this will fix the problem.

His sierra order number was 1930s I think.

Rosewill pretty good?

Decent but I would go with a better brand like Seasonic or Corsair.
Rosewill is just Newegg's brand, they're using other manufacturers, so it all depends on the model. (Also, most high-end Corsairs are Seasonic).
Perhaps the best PSU review site: http://www.jonnyguru.com/

I've had 2 Seasonic's burn out on me mining so for me they're second rate at best.  The Rosewil has been working, I have a 1300 gold and 2 1000 platinums very steady.

On the HF front, I had asked for a Batch 3 upgrade to Evo since they said the Evo would ship to me a month before the Batch 3 Sierra but they never sent the instructions they promised....  Huh

So, the cable connecting into the power supply for my baby jet upgrade got fried into mush at the power supply slot. Glad no fire started, the machine just shut off. No idea why this happened, maybe the radiator got really hot and affected the cable that was resting on it? The other chip is still hashing from the original power supply slot #1, but slot #2 is fried. I'd like to leave the one chip hashing as is, with the defunct power supply (one side still works). But, for the upgrade, can I just buy a new power supply and run it outside of the casing box along with the radiator/fan cooling assembly out in the open? Or does it require some of that interior casing ventilation? Much appreciated.

That must have been bloody hot and yes you were lucky no fire started for sure.

I wonder if he had two PCIe jack running from the same source PSU socket. I made that mistake with a bitfury rig and the same thing happened. The wire gauge is just not think enough to handle that much power draw. I was using a Corsair AX860 which incidentally is also made by Seasonic.

Oh my! I'm too lazy to search through HashFail posts but i remember that they were bragging about this not happening and they were giving KnC as example. Such fail!

I remember that too , and I think that it was of their shills actually posting in the knc thread.

Tracking information received for my september 2013 sierra batch 2 order now that difficulty is at 7b. Naturally despite my repeated requests to change the shipping address, they sent it to the old address anyway. Roll Eyes

Does anybody know of a proven method to curse somebody or somebodies? I'd be delighted if the thieving garbage at scamfast met with a tragic fate.

So, it has been 4 months since they proved to have working miners, and what did they ship?

Batch 1 was 600 BJ (0.24PH), IceDrill was another 0.25PH, let's say that batch 2 was as big as batch 1 (0.5PH) and that there where another 0.25PH before batch 1 in pre retail sales.

1.25PH.

This is what HF shipped.
CT shipped 10 times as much in the same timeframe.

I had a lovely way of proving mathematical theorems in italian... It was something like "per ovvietà", or "it's too fucking oblivious, why should i prove it?".

HF had the chips in stock for all of the batches and kept them in stock taking the mold, for the last months. Believe that if you can. You can't, right?
