I think Ether has more potential than BTC, but it will take years I guess (although with crypto coins you never know). of course the ligning Network might give BTC a boost when it will be released.

Bitcoin is going to have a much higher price than Ethereum in the long run. Bitcoin is still just starting out. |

ETH has a great team and someone decides which ETH way to go. BTC is not owner and it depends on minner and bitcoincore. BTC is the most scandal currency I have ever known. I wouldn't be so sure about it. Despite I'm one of the biggest ETH supporter, I still don't think that eth can catch or dominate bitcoin. there are certain dynamics in the market that doesn't allow it. I think it's the community that uses Bitcoin. The total amount is over 16 million Bitcoins. But the reality is that a large number of Bitcoins are lost due to previous users losing their account, forgotten passwords, large amounts of Bitcoin by bitcoin core and Shatoshi Nakamoto. That makes Bitcoin rare. |

For me is yes, It is possible that ethereum can reach the value of bitcoin in the future. We don't have any idea if what will happen.

Probably Ethereum has the potential to beat bitcoin in market cap, but that not change anything. Never forget bitcoin is a good technology with a good store of value, and have a strong community behind his back.
Ethereum might not ever reach Bitcoin’s individual coin price simply because there are a lot more Ethers out there (and no set cap) vs BTCs but the overall market cap will be exceeded relativity soon. They are only $8 billion apart and I anticipate that Ethereum’s market cap will be above Bitcoins.

I used to think that bitcoin is an irreplaceable crypto currency, but after I look at the growth of ethereum, I think I can't deny the fact that ethereum might
surpass bitcoin in the term of market capitalizations, or even value!
ETH could replace bitcoin within 2-3 years if it's keep going like this. Or even faster!
Bitcoin is too old already, and actually, there are lots of coins are better than bitcoin. But bitcoin is the first crypto currency, and it's the most famous coin! so yeah, once people learn about the other coins (ethereum especially), more and more people will start to invest in ethereum, therefore might replace bitcoin. Just my opinion though.

Probably will not get in there, bitcoin can reach into $14k while ethereum is in $1.3k. The people are injoying to invest in bitcoin because of the high in value and they know there is a profit in bitcoin.

When you say value I'm assuming you mean the fiat value of the coin. If that's the case, the way of evaluating it would be incorrect and although it is possible it isn't realistic at least as of now - If we looked instead by the market cap associated with ETH and BTC then yes. ETH can and most likely will be more valuable than BTC in my honest opinion. |

oh that is not gonna happen because the supply of Ethereum is unlimitted, but bitcoin is just 21 million, so bitcoin shortage makes its price higher than any other coins, ethereum may not have a chance to catch up with bitcoin in the future.

ETH can not reach BTC USD price but it can reach to the same daily volume or more.
Think like diamond and gold price and their volumes.

This is what's on my mind too that everything is possible in the crypto world but reaching bitcoin's value, I don't think this will happen. Comparing bitcoin's supply limit to ETH, that wasn't enough to see. But who knows in the next few more years ETH's price will increase and will be stable and the same with bitcoin's value. Every year crypto's are doing an amazing job of pump so let's just see their progress. |

I strongly believe it can, though we may be talking for years here but there is a good chance that ethereum can reach bitcoin's value plus ethereums growth has been remarkable stable and fast this early year and I see it as a very good potential as a rank 2 in the market and my second choice of investment after bitcoins. |

They make ethereum as a back-up in case bitcoin value decreases. There are also some investors specially those newby in investment field invest in ethereum rather than in bitcoin because ethereum has a lesser value compared to bitcoin plus it offers much more features compared to bitcoin. The high transaction fee in bitcoin also affects why some investors switch to ethereum because it has a cheaper transaction fees. Because of the above-mentioned factors, ethereum community continue to grow and expand. In this sense, ethereum reaching bitcoin value is indeed possible. |
