Hello BitSyncom, why you are advertising batch5 avalon mini, the tradein thread is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140974.540

Care to give us a word on this matter?

+1

Yifu,  please give us an update on trade-ins.  We have sent you the boards in April!!!
I has been over 4 months.

Remember you said:

- Trade-ins will have batch 2 pricing
- Trade-ins will be sent before batch 2

So what happened?

- some trade-ins (2-4) got their orders with $1600 sticker price (instead of $1500-trade-in value)
- batch 2 and 3 have been processed, no trade-ins have been received by anyone on this forum

Now, you talk about batch 5?  Talk about trade-ins...

Here's your update on trade-ins:  You're not getting one.  Sorry.

you can buy overpriced chips "in stock" at chinese market, chips pre-funded by bitcointalk community.
we have no chips, meanwhile chinese resellers have chips in stock with production date corelating with our orders.
troll harder

Yea, because it's impossible that those chips were ordered by a Chinese reseller whose interested in bitcoin and got there before the group buys did.  Right?  There's no way that could possibly happen, right?
Ben, If they were ordered by a chinese reseller, he WOULD NOT have shipped them out of the country (track the chips) just to REIMPORT back into china.   It is hard to get stuff out of china but harder and more expensive to get stuff in.   I think your theory is weak.

First, wasn't the import from TSMC in Taiwan?  So wouldn't they have to import them to China anyway?

Second, not all chip purchases were represented in that photo.

Third, not all chip purchases were part of the public domain.

Fourth, I'm throwing out possible scenarios to point out that when all information is not known, jumping to conclusions can have disastrous consequences.  My main thesis is to act on the information available, and not to speculate and come up with conspiracy theories.

I guess the one payment address is the only one available, considering everyone knows payment is public, and no one would ever want to protect their privacy.  Right?  I mean, Right?  There's no possible way other deals were being made in private with different addresses.  No way.  Right?  Right?!

Come on, quit having me come up with scenarios where your theories are wrong; there are a ton of them.  Until we have proof one way or the other, this is a silly game and I don't want to play anymore.

Do a bit of research before accusing others of trolling.   Track the actual shipment.   The chips WERE in china and they were sent to a freight forwarder in Hong Kong.   Get the information available first, then your stories might have some credibility.    Until you go back in the threads and read where the chips are made, where Zhang and Yifu assemble the boards, WHY avalon sends product OUT of china through hong kong and WHAT WAS POSTED in chinese along with supporting pictures, and finally where those chips ended up, you are just spreading more BS.

I didn't accuse anyone of trolling, nor did I claim anything I said was a credible or actual story.  Is English your second language?  I'm not SPREADING anything.  I'm just saying don't make up stories to fit the evidence if you don't know the whole story.  Do I have to fucking mime it?

Sort it out mate, and pronto. as so far it does not wash, and this is more than the odd thousand dollars someone could just remain angry about. The beef surrounds people's livelihoods, you stand to ruin people.
You're right, of course.  But the grim fact is, he doesn't have to do anything.  The unfulfilled orders, the trade ins, the refunds, the chip orders... it will all soon be forgotten collateral damage.

I didn't read the original source, but this page refers to Batch 5 sales.  That's all that has to be done:  advertise Batch 5, for a good price.  I did read the intention that preorders were going to be a thing of the past.  BFL Monarch shows that's not necessary; muppets will still clamor for a picture and a promise.

Maybe it's true that taking preorders and then having to deal with whining when they're not fulfilled creates too much dissonance for a narcissist.  In that case, maybe it will be sales from stock.  Either way, though, the best expectation to hold about these past issues is no expectation at all.  Then, if something is done, be pleasantly surprised by the largess.

Until then, simply say the Bitcoin miner's mantra: "it was not more than I could afford to lose" over and over, and then, when Batch 5 comes out, buy one to go with your Monarch order.

Refund Payment Notification: received refunds for 3 out of 8 batches from my group buy, see https://blockchain.info/es/tx/a69aac51f0d8ebaca5edef26c3038c81fdfbcb2703bdc088f69e49b1eaa571f1

Thank you Avalon for allowing me to limit the loss of 60+ miners and Bitcoin enthusiasts. This would have been a great success for the community if we had this level of customer support all the time, hope you guys are going to keep it up.

Good Luck!

What for?
He (I guess you are talking about Yifu) has paid refunds, and promised to send a truckload of chips tomorrow. For what it's worth.
If I would give him a visit, I'd bring some beer, congratulate him for finally doing sane budiness decisions, and listening to his story of what actually went wrong.
I guess I'm a forgiving person, once I see someone tries to set things right, huh?

I'm forgiving too but you are in error.  Yifu has not fixed all the issues and he still has btc from trade ins and over half the trade ins he has not added.  This is ~five months later.  secondly he has still not refunded all the late chip buys.

You are right, totally.
The situation is not cleared yet, and Yifu/Bitsyncom/Avalon has a long way to restore their credibility.
However their behavior changed to the better, finally, and they do refund the chips at least. Which goes a long way, on my side, to give them some space to get *everything* in order.
I have no problem with a healthy lynchmob, right? But if there was no ninja-killercommando until now, for months of awfulness, why do it *now*?

"Forgiveness is divine, but never pay full price for late pizza asics."

I can forgive, I just can't forget... but I am happy to see Yifu attempting to make things right, and more importantly - communicating.
