Please keep in mind that Yufi is not Avalon. He is a dumb PR whose best business plan was to resell low cost tablets from China (do you remember the interview?).
For as much as we know, he could be forced by nzhang to do what he did.
Where is him, BTW? Still sick (another excuse used to delay batch 2?)

Forced eh? Right...
"Hey you! yes you! PR guy! I demand that you do the worst PR job ever! BFL are so far in the lead on this, and we need to catch up!"

Now lets see if Yifu actually issues any of those refunds, this is starting to sound like nefario to me.

He hasn't refunded Batch 3 customers yet, what makes anyone think he'll honour chips refunds?

?? I'm pretty sure batch 3 customers got their refunds.

full refund or partial refund of batch 3 for everyone is in order. batch 3 got as much screwed as the chip orders.

1) TBH, i supported a peaceful resolution - i even mentioned in some threads to you that you need to make it up to people (either partial refund or more hash power in future) you ignored common sense and reason and you made people hate you - you made people doubt you - you made people feel and believe you are a crook - you haven't done much (when you should have) to make anyone think otherwise - i assume you have probably received a lawsuit already or fear one and that's the only reason you believe you are doing something - not because of any decent business practices.

btw, when and if TSMC gets subpoenaed we'll know exactly when those chips were made and when they were sent.
the truth will come out and it's two things:
1) actual problems and yifu is just a horrible manager (this would suck because things could have been much better for him and everyone)
2) yifu is a scammer

Yes he does but unfortunately he needs to look in the mirror to see where this malformation by greed has impacted and also where the toxicity is currently leaching from into the Bitcoin community ecosystem. Self-inflicted is all of this and there is no one else to blame but him.

There might be a lot of hatred spewed, but personally I don't hate the guy, I am sure he is a perfectly fine enough human being, however, my issue is with his lack of communication and failure to deal directly with his customers. Sadly, if he had done his job properly, communicated effectively and got the product to market on time we would all be happy and not brandishing threats of the litigation.

Care to elaborate on this. I don't see how anyone putting up the funds prior to receiving a product can be considered greedy in any capacity. People have every right to be irritated when they've done everything by the book yet still get let down due to either a poor code of ethics from a company they trusted or just pure incompetence from the people running the business.

Fuck off.

The profits of miners ASSEMBLED by the DIY community (not even by yifu!!) was never going to be huge. Still, it would've been some nice little pocket money - sadly I also brought other people in with me to join in on this excitement - as it would be our first "real" mining unit, an asic, previously only obtainable by the rich and the connected, unique and first of its kind made by the people for the people. I wanted to be apart of that! Yifu took that away from us... and left a sour taste behind, the magic is gone. These chips looked like a hope of bitcoin remaining decentralised and for the people, but that dream is dying an ugly angry death.

There was a point at which the profits could conceivably have been 10-fold.

Don't tell me it was never going to be huge. The reason that there were a million chips on order was greed, plain and simple.

That doesn't excuse Yifu - he should have limited the number of orders, if he didn't have the volume worked out with TSMC - but it WAS greed.

Hey, check it out - the address that paid you got it's coins from https://blockchain.info/address/15PW2jpo212JGAoYa6WB6FBUMdGzBqmDT6

Which came from:
https://blockchain.info/address/158mVoizfU3xPxGGchGtnsKSixGs9XTo6v

Which in turn got 10,000 coins from: https://blockchain.info/address/16ygEoTjg7P5GJwLKTQd1UgqAGuF8bKVRc

And, that in turn got it's coins from: https://blockchain.info/address/1FGAftzSTztFSB8LMwsrdCKTyqGY6zr3sU

Which, if you'll remember is the "mystery address" that Yifu said "who say's we control that address" (or whatever)

I happened to remember the 158mVoizfU3xPxGGchGtnsKSixGs9XTo6v address showing up in a discussion about a mystery solo mine somewhere.

It's very hard to lie consistently for a long time about a lot of issues. Yifu just found it out, he's young and many smart youngsters consider that task to be easy for them. Too bad he has chosen that path.

Lying is more difficult than telling the truth because when you lie, you have to make up a story and remember to stick to it so that you don’t get caught. Telling the truth requires less effort because there is no "story" that must be memorized and recalled later; you just tell what you know.

Sabotage. Dust on mining rigs. Customs. Mafia. Extortion. Pre-mining. Inside deals. Bitcoin Address not mine. Already refunded. Team-member sick. Security issues. Trade-ins. And hundreds more.

Lies or truth? You be the judge.

Under the circumstances, I hope you won't be too upset to learn that many people will be extremely skeptical of refund claims until a bunch of people start posting their txids.

Here is the blockchain info for 9 refunds... mine was in this batch.

This is great news. Shows they have enough coins to proceed with the refunds asap. Im waiting 400 BTC back. C'mon, tune that script. Thank you.

Man, you've got quite some nerve for posting this. A full refund will not solve the issue. Please explain the 1+ million chips delivery that showed up in pictures from June? So, where did they end up?

batch 3? the amount was never 1+ million chips. if one 1+ million chips did show up in june, none of this would be happening and difficulty would NOT be this low, do some math.

also people seem to not make the connect to sudden raise of difficulty to us shipping batch 3 and bitfury's http://ghash.io pool coming online...

brb making refund form, I'm done with this.

You promissed 9-10 weeks delivery for chips. Considering the 2 weeks in customs how else do you explain the big delays for shipping the chips?

Someone who are from New York and surrounding areas should go to his place, his family house and his relative house and knock on doors asking where is Yifu and the reasons for coming by, if those guys could do that in China, surely New Yorker also could do the same thing. Could someone posts his address, his family address,  telephone numbers, car plate numbers and other information. This will wake him up... You are being follow behind every move you make, that should scare him or post his China address. But maybe he is now staying at 5 stars hotels everywhere he goes.

And how many Avalon batch 1, 2 or 3 do you operate, may I ask?  It was the  only way for miners to stay current without
even greater upfront money. DIY projects allowed the average Joe to continue to be a miner without having to pay extortionist
prices to Asicminer, or buy total vaporware from BFL.  So please, just shut up about the "greedy miners" already - if anybody
earned the right to be accused of greed, it is definitely not the small miners.  Or are you a shill for YIFU?

I'm pissed as you, but now insult Yufu like there's no tomorrow does not help anybody.

He broke ToS with the delay, now he is trying to remedy in some way. Although the simple refund may not be enough (assembly costs already paid, deals fallen, community works trashed (see Bkk), etc...) he seems willing to find a solution.

Good suggestions can help.
Insulting only, not.

I disagree,

The past couple months have proven for a fact, that yifu will sit idle unless the community SCREAMS at him
Only when we trash out the company, and send legal demands, does he bother to respond.
