no premines = scamcoin
no thanks
Kelsey could be kind enough to explain what makes a coin that doesn't have a premine a scam? Where do you base this? I think that's sarcasm. I'm considering the best way to fund development with the community. i don't think a reasonable premine for the dev is a problem, but if not perhaps a suitable % of all mined coins that is agreeable to eveyone. After all you see what happens to coins that the dev has no longer and interest in maintaining or developing Huge premines where the dev just dumps them all on the exchanges as soon as possible then goes off to make another coin is not good, so maybe like .1% of all mined coins to the dev could give incentive.

No worries. Community support will be there for Baritus coins. -tb-

as keccak is sha-3, this is exactly the same as sifcoin and quarkcoin. Using the same algorithms, but nothing like either coin. A coin is made up of many factors, some of which are: 1. Economy - Completely different 2. Development - Completely different 3. Community - Completely different 4. Launch - Completely different 5. Algorithms - Same Just like LTC used Tenebrix hash algorithm, yet it isn't Tenebrix.

How does this coin line up with ARG/DGC service development ?
Do you think you have time to spare for a new coin development ?
Is this coin going to complete the ARG/DGC ecosystem ?

SecureCoin will be in the exchange and likely the banking services. DGC/SRC are the two coins I developed. ARG was developed by someone else and I took it on at his request. It will also be on the exchange as promised.

@baritus
I 100% gurantee you someone will hit this with a large herd and drive the diff way up and drop it.
The chain will be left crawling for weeks limping toward the next 1000 block diff adjust.
~BCX~
That's one of the reasons it isn't released as of yet. I'm working out the final details, such as whether to set the difficulty manually until a certain block is reached and/or cap the difficulty rise to a number lower than the default 400%.

Doesn't matter, the botnets will own any cpu only coin. Solo miners will never match the hash rate any botnet will bring. Just an opinion but it's what has been seen with the other half a dozen or so cpu only coins. Litecoin, once a cpu only coin is alive today due to development of the scrypt gpu miner. XPM is latest proof. ~BCX~ A well designed coin will only do better with more computing power, regardless of the source. SRC will adapt well.

1 + 1 = 12? With your exaggeration skills, I would have thought you sold 100 million. I am spending thousands of dollars and hours building this exchange to enable upcoming services. It was always part of the plan to develop both a GPU and CPU coin because an exchange needs to be competitive and offer variety. The services could use variety as well. So long, enjoy your other cryptos.

The answer was no. I guess it will be secure enough not to need it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=251782.msg2913536#msg2913536So 3 coins dgc/arg/src all different and all working together to bring useful crypto coins to the masses. The three amigos! Can't wait for the exchange screenshots in 3-4 days. Congrats so far Baritus on being innovative, enthusiastic, informative and community orientated with your work on these coins so far. Real useful services just around the corner. Hard work, smart ideas and no BS will prove the doubters wrong. Keep it up!

Just make sure you release the source code at the same time as the binaries and everything will be kosher.

A well designed coin will only do better with more computing power, regardless of the source. SRC will adapt well.
Let's hope so, will throw a few khs in support of it. ~BCX~ Thanks Instead of trying to get into a corrupt economy where exchanges accept coins by bribery and their own gain, I'll just build the services to enable the economy myself. The exchange will be one step, but only one of many.
