I think that the best competitors will be more modern projects such as NEO, Ripple and Waves. They need time and they will give good growth in the market and bring good profits.

Bes alternative to this coin is EOS to my opinion. It is very nice in its potential and a lor of experts are sure that it is very promising aaltcoin for future investing.

Which are the best competitors to Ethereum, and why do you think so?
(I know on top of my head that Cardano and IOTA try to challenge Ethereum,
although they still haven't proved much from my understanding?)
To date, Ethereum has no big competition. Yes, there are coins that claim to replace Ethereum, but their functionality is far from eth. |

Best BTC, but after ETC or NEO is altcon, which will rise over time. watching the dynamics of BTC also increase or LTC has just started, will soon be the ETC competitor.

The best competitors to ETHEREUM I have observed are these ones:
BITCOIN CASH
EOS
NEO
RIPPLE
ETHEREUM CLASSIC
LTC
In addition to these, there are many other platforms promising higher tps and throughput than Ethereum such as : WAVES Cardano TRON Stellar NEM QTUM and many more. |

There may be decent competitors for ETHEREUM but i think they're way far beyond ETHEREUM's power yet. To name a few, they are EOS, NEO, and Cardano (ADA) which are also listed in the top 15 cryptocurrencies. It's also a good portfolio anyone can have if these top cryptos are there too.

I believe that it also the same by every competitors of ethereum, in first prices at lower rate but when the time past by it will slowly recovering and has a chances to Overcome in ethereum so I think we must appreciated all coin here in crypto.

Probably EOS. I still much prefer ethereum though, and I think most people who are jumping on board EOS are just doing so because they see it as a coin with the potential to become the next ETH and hope to get rich quick from it.

Agree. Despite the setbacks Ethereum had experienced lately, no other alternative has been able to reach the level of popularity and support Ethereum has. Being a first mover in smart contract technology, it has obtained recognized branding over the years. That's the reason why many ICOs have launched their tokens within the Ethereum blockchain since its technology has been tried and tested over time. Other alternatives like NEO, EOS, and Cardano, are relatively new in the space and have not proven their use cases in the mainstream world. They may claim to be the real Ethereum killers, but in fact, they’re simply overhyped with no proven uses that will benefit businesses, individuals, and companies alike. Don't take me wrong, but their technologies look far superior than Ethereum when it comes to scalability concerns. However, most of these cryptocurrencies have sacrificed their decentralization, for greater scalability. Therefore, even if Ethereum is being criticized by many due to its slow transaction speeds, and high costs, it's still the most decentralized smart contract platform which I believe that has given it an advantage over other cryptocurrencies in the market to date. Just my opinion  |
