Obviously not, even us 'normal' people on here are just shilling for bounty rewards, those ICO sites are doing the same on a bigger scale.

Some rating platforms employ former wall Street analysts who conduct an in-depth study of token sales before sharing their opinion on any project. These ratings can be valuable indicators of project viability and potential profitability and are definitely worth considering as part of your overall project research. There are also platforms run by "Internet entrepreneurs" and Internet marketers who just want to cash in on the ICO boom. Their ratings are de facto useless as these platforms do not use experienced analysts and they are not managed by people who have the knowledge or skills to evaluate projects. Such projects are likely to encourage startups to buy a high ICO rating on their platforms. Such agencies should be avoided.

I think that we also should not be too trust in these websites. The best result is when we do our own research on the project that we will invest.

For some people that's not enough so they turn to those sites. If you're not able to do a proper research then nothing can save you.

Even projects with the highest ratings can fail on sale. So do not pay attention to this.
It is true that higher ratings does not guarantee that the project will be successful. But at least you can say that such projects will be having a higher probability of giving good returns.

Personally I always have some believe in ICO rating, the information they provide are very useful and it helps gives me a quick overview about the ICO before I do further research. I think ICO rating sites are good, especially the high reputed ones.

When it comes to ICO rating website in terms of investing in ICOs, I only use them as a guild as they are not thbnbat trustworthy in some of their speculations, i will not call it predictions because they actually do the needful before rating the tokens.

Personally, I believe in some reliable ICO ratings, which have already proven themselves in practice. But in any case, it is also necessary to consider the opinions of experts and their research.

I think ratings can a good indication of the ICO, but I wouldn't recommend investing solely on the basis of the ratings. I would still look into their whitepaper and roadmap and researched on the team and the community. Before participating in their bounty, you should check everything out.

Ratings are good as they help give investors an idea of the project they may want to invest in. But my issue is how truthful these external rating sites are. I mean, a few dollars can sway the sentiments of these centralized rating websites

I see many Websites that provide ratings for ongoing ICOs or for the future. Examples such as the ICObench.com Website, ICOrating.com and others.
Which is my question whether you believe in the rating provided by the website. Seeing many ICO's do not match what they value. Many ICOs are arguably good ratings but when the token sales of the project only reach softcap. And there are projects that I see have a fairly mediocre rating but their token sales reach hardcap. I took the example of Lalaworld on ICObench.com they get Rating 3.7 but their token is sold out.
So let's discuss ICO Rating!
NAH! Some scam ICO'S were listed on those ICO rating website, so I don't trust those things cause they can be easily be paid to make fake reviews of a project. Do your own research depending on such is like depending your money to those unreliable statistics from them.

I do not believe in ICOs because it is entirely subjective opinion of an individual or group of ICO projects, maybe it's the intent of the whales that want to control the ICO. attention of the market. So I think you should have your own judgment when investing and be responsible for that.

I think ratings on every ICO is another basis to choose a good ICO to invest in because it means that the ICO has a chance to be successful. But you don't need to trust the ratings on the website too much. Sometimes other ICO failed when it was already in the market.

There are other factors that are more important is whether the ICO has a team and a good background, if necessary have a product will be great. But if we look at ICO with a low rating, then often we have a doubt whether the project can be successful later.

As far as I know, all these sites for a certain price will set the necessary rating for the project so you can watch these estimates but do not take them as a top priority for investment

I also believed in some and i have also experienced of an ICO rating website that is so lazy to update the the ICOs status. I've been into ICO that has a token value at 1$ only to find out that ICO price was already below that price. I think price don't have something to do with the rating of an ICO but their information is really misleading to the public.
