why are Chinese billionaires more likely to invest in BTC than any other nation?

China is embracing BTC like no other country. The government have all but backed it. The 'Chinese ebay' is accepting BTC for some sellers. The Chinese are huge savers. China has the largest BTC exchange in the world. The Chinese economy is awash with 'new money' held by young forward thinking Billionaires who are more likely to trust crypto-currencies than old-school Western money that is more traditional in it's investment choice. That is only a short list, why are you so dismissive?

+1. Suggesting that the chinese are not enthusiastic about bitcoin is ridiculous. It would imply that either btcchina exchange statistics are falsified or bitcoin is being purchased in massive quantities by random non-chinese holders of yuan - neither is likely.

But really, what's the point here? That we should have the website in chinese? If so, then I'm all for that. Arguing about the reason for the rise in price is not on topic.

*edited for grammar and content

Sorry all but I cant resist one last post about China - last one I promise!

Minerpart talked specifically about Chinese billionaires, to which I pointed out there were not so many of them (compared to the US, Europe or Russia) and that there was no evidence to suggest they were more likely to invest in bitcoin than any other billionaire in another country.

The points about Chinese uptake of bitcoin are all valid points but say nothing specific about the actions of Chinese billionaires

Anyone who has been to China, or studied it will know that it is a corrupt system with billionaire politicians and shady deals done behind closed doors. Billionaires in China don't become billionaires through having billion dollar ideas - they do it through 'guanxi' AKA relationships. You scratch my back, il scratch yours.

So I would actually argue that a Chinese billionaire is less likely to invest in bitcoin than the middle classes because a Chinese billionaire can continue to make billions doing exactly what they are doing now. Bitcoin is far more of a gamble than for example property where the right people with the right connections can secure good land at cheap prices and make thousands of percent profits with minimal risk.
Then expand this tactic ad infinitum

All the more reason for Ken to get our machines up and running, proving to the world we can attain a huge hashrate. Once we show we have 100TH/s or more, people will want to buy our machines.

Come on Ken! Lets get hashing!

I don't really understand why people think there is to be one ultimate company that makes mining hardware. Are you that ingrained in competition in basic life that it's like the Highlander out here? Competition is good and so is the news that there is this much demand for mining hardware. Thanks, finlof.

I would bet my life that ken will not achieve over 24th/s.. thats right, not even one fully loaded Fast Hashin machine!

Deal. Quoting for posterity.

If you think that ActiveMining will never go above 24TH/s then why do you still hold shares?

So what are all the trolls going to do now that they can't affect the share price. BOOO Hoooo..

The fact that share price can no longer be affected is proof that trolling reflects genuine hatred for the company, rather than price manipulation attempts

I'm guessing they'll continue to provide strong indicators of antisocial tendencies and personality disorder, and the occasional chuckle from the sane readers.

WHY? Do you hate the company? You chose to invest, you lost, deal with it like a grown man. You are acting like a 5 year old girl.

tomorrow it the report day.

I will be waiting!

If you're still looking for a non-american future proof and legit place to host your IPO (that even has decent support!), maybe www.crypto-trade.com is the right place for you?!

They are registered in Belize (afaik) and operated by Esecurity SA from Thailand.
The interface is basically the same one that btct.co/ltc-global had, but with the benefit of beeing a crypto-currency exchange AND an IPO hoster at once.
I think their fees are lower as well.. and there will be a 5-factor verification system to beware of scam IPOs.

Don't know much about ActiveMining's situation after the bitfunder shutdown, but I'm sure neotrix (admin of CT) can help you somehow.

Crypto-Trade: Invest. Trade. Be free.

What with the obsession of getting hashrate online? If its done with 3rd party hardware, its basically a waste of money. Once it can be  done with their own asic's, the company would be far better off selling them.

I only read the last pages, as far as I can see, there's no information about moving to another exchange?
