I'm getting nothing but orphans in the Linux custom-compiled version. I had it running about 6 hours with a successful stake on Monday, but I cannot repeat this now for some reason, although trying relentlessly.

Anyone have a solution?

This is exactly what comes up in my viewer when my wallet disconnects and won't continue syncing. Only way I have gotten it to stop doing that is to close wallet and relaunch. Unfortunately when this happens to me and I relaunch I am unable to reopen hobo wallet. Then have to resync a wallet up. Which is what I have been trying to do for 2+ weeks. 2 macs and neither will sync without this happening every 20-45 minutes. I had to pull a windows machine out and blow the cobwebs off it to try and sync on a windows machine since neither of my macs will sync the hobo wallet without this happening to me. keeping my fingers crossed as I am still trying to get it up and running again. None of the bootstraps seem to work for me.

Have you tried this solution? It should work on Mac.

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/27625-cant-sync-mac-wallet-for-3-weeks-now/page-2

But I have no idea how to solve this on linux/ubuntu/lubuntu

This is my thread: https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/28625-devices-for-staking/

Wow! Thanks! That actually worked for me. My mac wallet has opened back up now and is continuing to sync. Hopefully it finishes up now and I can get back to staking.
Thanks again!

been running the standard gui,

Well my hobo wallet finally synced up. Thanks for your help! One problem, though it appears to be cosmetic, I am getting msg in wallet saying checkpoint is too old. My wallet does appear to be fully synced, it is accepting stakes and processing them. But checkpoint msg is not going away. have tried to restart wallet once or twice to make sure. Any ideas? Does checkpoint server need updating? though it appears to be functioning, not sure if that is another issue I should or need to do on my end. Thanks in advance!

One last thing...I noticed in my log I am seeing a lot of connection refused errors. any ideas?
Here is a small screen shot of some of the stuff I am seeing a lot in the debug.log file.

Hi, no that is a known bug (at least for other pos coins). It is only cosmetic indeed. Also I fixed my daemon issue so it is all running fine now Smiley

I am trying to compile the QT now. I asked help from a neurogenetics, he knows how to compile stuff. I need to fix a compilation error to release the executable for arm linux

Code:
build/scrypt_mine.o: In function `scrypt(void const*, unsigned int, unsigned int                               *, void*)':
scrypt_mine.cpp:(.text+0x4e): undefined reference to `scrypt_core'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

I need help, I'm staking approx 9300 hbn and have only staked twice in 3 days. Is there a configuration I need to do to the wallet to achieve maximum stake? The wallet currently is default and unlocked for staking, nothing else.

Thank you,

Brett

Without knowing how you have that broken up, I can't help. The minimum stake time is ten days, so it depends on the size and age of your blocks. I've never had a problem with HBN staking, but I could just be lucky Tongue

I don't have them broken up. Should I and what size?

It's totally optional. But if you only have one or two blocks, you should only stake every ten days on average. Or a bit longer.

For HBN, I usually run about 200 coins to a block. But that's subjective. It gives me a stake in ~20 days.

They will break up over time and you will have more concerns with recombining them, I dont recommend breaking them up. Ive also read that you will get more coins the older your coins are (higher weight, higher stake), I dont know if that is true however. Would be awesome.

It's true. Older blocks generate higher stake. So it's not a big deal if your blocks don't stake straight away. As long as your don't hit the maximum POS reward of 250HBN your good. Same goes for getting orphans while staking, you lose nothing. The block will stake until the stake is successful.
And when Tranz compiles the new version of the wallet, you don't have to worry that much about recombining either. The latest commit will add much more control over when blocks will and won't split after staking.

Wow, Top holder has over a million coins. No way I'm going to catch them without dropping some serious btc to buy up.

I shut my miners down last summer due to AC/Power costs and have been letting my accounts just stake.
