What blocksize is the best in terms of getting fast and stake? I had a lot of small blocks <30 which didnt stake after 17+ days - also has eaten 30% of my i5 cpu . So I cleaned my wallet up and made 10 x 5k blocks. These stake pretty much within 12h of being 10 days old. I just took a look in the wiki and I'm not sure what the slows the rate coins are generated means? What blocksize you guys prefer and why(explain as I'm 5 years old  )? I'm kinda not looking through here. Benefits of larger blocks:
Larger reward on PoS generation
Lowers the CPU use to run stake (multiple small blocks are more difficult to process)
Faster generation of stake (wastes less power running computers)
Benefits of smaller blocks:
Enhances network security (more hash rate devoted to PoS)
Easier for the network to process
Slows the rate new coins are generated |

Slows the rate new coins are generated You seem to have figured it out pretty well yourself. I tend to try and keep my blocks between 3-7k. This works well for quickish staking while not hitting the max stake reward cap. Regarding your other question, many small blocks on the network increases competition for stake raising difficulty thats means it tends to both take longer to get a stake and the reward % is lower hence slows the rAte of new coin generation. |

Hobonickels is one of the best POS coins and is well undervalued, almost ridiculously so, given all it has going for it. Any daily mining profits I generate go 100% into buying HBN right now. It is one of the few quality coins that has not seen much of a price increase lately...for some reason it has been under the radar...I do not expect that situation to last much longer. |

so there is no way to send many of the same transactions to one address quickly? Would it work if I repeated the same address over and over, or must they be different?

Ok, generate the number of addresses you want, or use the same one over and over again. Not splitblock, and you don't need coincontrol. sendmany address:amt, address:amt, etc... EDIT: Almost all satoshi derived coins have this feature. Hobonickels is a Script coin. Isn't that different from being satoshi derived? I assume you meant scrypt, and no, it isn't. All are derived from bitcoin code, and share most if not all of the same RPC commands as bitcoin. The mining algorithm and proof of stake components are different, of course, but the base code is still bitcoin. NXT, for instance, is programmed from the ground up. While conceptually similar to bitcoin, it's code is completely original. (and a pain in the ass, in my arrogant opinion). |

Intended or not you can give ~100% stake for charity. I have 2 computers running a wallet with 50% stake for charity to same address. Sends close to 100% of stakes. I am sure if you had a 3rd or 4th setup you would 3x/4x stake for charity.

And I am completely sure that would not work, because it would only attempt to doublespend. 100% charity staking is possible, because it only moves the coins you stake to your main wallet. It cannot move any coins which have not been generated. |

Yes, it feels like an arbitrary limit, but I welcome it - it gives me an ability to hedge against loss and for it to be effective, I dont need a higher count than 50%. I've heard CLAMs have their own implementation of staking to a different address, I wonder what are the limits there. |

Yes, it feels like an arbitrary limit, but I welcome it - it gives me an ability to hedge against loss and for it to be effective, I dont need a higher count than 50%. I've heard CLAMs have their own implementation of staking to a different address, I wonder what are the limits there. I have considered moving this 50% up, but so far I like the 50%. The reason I initially choose it, was if there was a roll back, the S4C would send again, thereby causing 100% of the stake to be sent. If the max value was 100% it would chew away at the principal which would defeat the purpose. The double send error has been fixed, so moving this up 100% could be safer. The other reason I choose 50% was that I wanted the users base to always increase, so both a charity and the user would benefit. |

Yea! Pretty easy to compile on the Pi. I had a bit of trouble en the past making a fully compatible static executable for UNIX. But DIY isn't too bad at all. As the main road blocks have been cleared or instructed around. |

Yea! Pretty easy to compile on the Pi. I had a bit of trouble en the past making a fully compatible static executable for UNIX. But DIY isn't too bad at all. As the main road blocks have been cleared or instructed around. Right. I tested multiple wallets on ARM Linux and Hobonickels is the only one which I got working fully (both daemon and GUI). I did not have so much luck with VPNCoin and Opal |
