The new upgrade does fix the issue, but everyone has to be using it...some mining pools may not have updated yet...
Did you notify cryptsy and other exchanges by chance? Also, is it expected the diff drops when using the new version?

Tagmining.Com is back up and running on 1.02, but we will suspend mining until this whole thing is resolved.
I just wanted to thank Mark and his team on the quick fix, and fast response time. Kudos, Tag team!

The hardfork doesn't happen until block 12000. Read the main post. So this same shit is going to happen for 2000 more blocks.
Power through it.

Paul from cryptsy already knows about it and has updated the software... have sent message to btc38.com exchange and the others as well...
I'll create a new Ubuntu app shortly, and hoping the mac os x wallet will be done as well...since I use a Mac mostly..)

I'm new to this -- not quite sure what a fork is. I sent some old coins to cryptsy using the older software a couple of hours ago. I just now upgraded to 1.02, however. If cryptsy already upgraded to 1.02 when I made the deposit, does that mean that the coins I sent just floated off into space (they're still not showing up on the site)? Someone had accidentally sent me 12 coins last night as well and I sent them back this morning. If he had already upgraded, were those coins lost as well?
Edit: Coins showed up on Cryptsy, so I guess that answers that question.

There is only one blockchain and yes it is safe to use cryptsy, there is no fork as such. Just the difficulty going up and down as PoS blocks mined, which will be resolved from 12000 block coming in about 24 hours. Just giving everyone time to upgrade the software.

So I just mined a block after switching to 1.02 but it was not accepted by the network. While I wait for everything to get back to normal, should I be solo-mining with v. 1 or v. 1.02?

Due to the nature of whats going on, no coins should be sent or received until after block 12000, which should be in a few hours time.

There are multiple forks occuring right now, these issues won't be resolved until block 12000.

We'll see what happen. You guys mean V1.0.2. when talking about V1.2 right?
That version is synched for now. But i'm warned, I won't send any coins the following hours.
