I have a similar problem
decided to update  wallet
and here the problem:
In file included from src/qt/blockbrowser.cpp:2:
build/ui_blockbrowser.h: In member function ‘void Ui_BlockBrowser::retranslateUi(QDialog*)’:
build/ui_blockbrowser.h:362: error: ‘class QLineEdit’ has no member named ‘setPlaceholderText’
It builds fine with Qt 4.8.6
blockbrowser is a standard code used in many coins, nothing specific to TEK

Debian 6 LTC amd64
no build fine

tekcoin version v2.0.1.0-gf96a5a-TEKv2.0.1.0-gf96a5a-TEK -build fine
obvious progress  Wink
http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-4.8/qlineedit.html#placeholderText-prop
This property was introduced in Qt 4.7.

You need to upgrade your Qt version to 4.7 or later.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Not yet redeemed, What does that mean..

http://tek.blockchain.lt/address/BngW1notqfAGYzZNtSYBWJszonvxjAAFAF

Nothing has shown up in the wallet yet and its completely synced.

What am I missing here?

Everything in the blockchain indicates that the address received the money. "Not yet redeemed," just means that it has not been spent yet.
Are you sure you're synced up? There are currently 681469 blocks.

edit: something weird is going on.. i ran both a salvage and repair wallet and I now have a different address.. Will try again. very wtf?

Is "681834" blocks a typo? That is 300 blocks ahead of my wallet and I'm certain I'm on the correct chain.

All of those cryptsy withdrawls are in the blockchain, Arsenay. You can check the blockchain explorer. I suggest building and running the newest version. If upgrading your gui build environment is not possible, try running a headless tekcoind instead.

You are on a wrong fork, probably because of outdated wallet.
Make sure your wallet version is at least 2.1.0.0 - versions below 2.1 are obsolete.
Please download or build the latest wallet version and re-sync.

Here is the latest build:
windows - http://downloads.truckcoin.net/misc/tekcoin-2.2.0.0.zip
ubuntu x64 - http://downloads.truckcoin.net/misc/tekcoin-2.2.0.0-ubuntu-x64.tar.gz

github - https://github.com/noise23/TEK/

Version 2.2.0.0 is a minor update which should prevent catching bad blocks from obsolete clients.

You are on a wrong fork, probably because of outdated wallet.
Make sure your wallet version is at least 2.1.0.0 - versions below 2.1 are obsolete.
Please download or build the latest wallet version and re-sync.

Here is the latest build:
windows - http://downloads.truckcoin.net/misc/tekcoin-2.2.0.0.zip
ubuntu x64 - http://downloads.truckcoin.net/misc/tekcoin-2.2.0.0-ubuntu-x64.tar.gz

github - https://github.com/noise23/TEK/

Version 2.2.0.0 is a minor update which should prevent catching bad blocks from obsolete clients.

lastest wallet got no peers!
no connection after more than 5 mins

Check if you on the correct chain - compare the latest block hash in your wallet with explorer at http://tek.blockchain.lt/
If it does not match then you have to re-sync.

Here are some nodes:

My wallet is backup and running now. The only problem is that I lost the coins from my last 3 transactions which were coins sent to me from Cryptsy. Is there anyway to recover these coins?  I already ran the wallet repair twice and it did recover some of the coins.

They should be in your wallet.
Check transactions IDs in built-in block browser, does it recognize them?

I only use linux
I do not mind to update, if do not curve wallet.
Replacing qt in distros  leads to rebuild hundreds of other programs
or updating the all distro ...

All of those cryptsy withdrawls are in the blockchain, Arsenay. You can check the blockchain explorer. I suggest building and running the newest version. If upgrading your gui build environment is not possible, try running a headless tekcoind instead.

tomorrow and console application will not work.

Arsenay, you can have multiple versions of QT on your linux install. QT5 will still compile QT4 if you use the command line qmake-qt4 instead of just qmake. You don't have to recompile everything or symlink dependencies or any of that. Assuming you're running a debian variant, at least. I'm not familiar with the non Debian versions, I run ubuntu.

However, I do primarily run daemons, they're less resource intensive and do all the same things, just no pretty pictures.

The newest update (I didn't do it, but I did look at the code) is just a change in a few lines regarding versioning. It will not connect to older peers. No changes in dependencies since the last upgrade. Not mandatory, either, but it will tend to stabilize the network as the newer, non excluded peers all use checkpointing. Theoretically, this should eliminate or at least vastly reduce the number of orphans.

Invalid checkpoint problem.
I upgraded my wallet last night. Dumped the whole dir except my wallet.dat file and let the blockchain rebuild. I looked at my wallet this morning and I'm getting the notice at the bottom of the window about an invalid checkpoint. What's the deal with that?. I have had 6 payouts from the pool I use.. and none of them are showing up.
