The ratio of rewards received to investment amount is not higher today than it was at the beginning, but it might be higher than at some other point after they adjusted the odds, presumably to keep the program sustainable. Other factors such as declining popularity of the website might also be contributing to its current unsustainability.

That initial odds were a great gesture of generosity from the Freebitcoin team. I don't know if they did it consciously or just miscalculated, but it's obvious that period was extremely profitable for users.
And as for declining popularity, if you look at the traffic stats, freebitcoin had more than 28 mln visits in the last month. That's quite a lot, considering the site has been having some problems lately.

So you shouldn't expect the issue being solved within few days if they've said in their last update that "we do not yet have a time frame for a resolution". I don't know to be honest, but if they think the premium membership program costs too much money for them why they don't just lower the prizes of the WOF or lower the probabilities of the rewards like they've already done before? They could also change the price of each premium membership level or the duration between steps. They could also lower the APYs of the locked investment plans. They could do many things instead of suspending or halting the premium membership program actually.

The site has been responding differently recently, premier membership days not counting anymore, wof spins not being allocated etc etc. All to do with the premier membership (which I am a part of).
Something else I noticed a week or so ago, was the percentage counter towards the next level of hourly bonus wasn't increasing as usual when playing the hi lo game. But this has been rectified and is adding up as expected again.
There is definitely monitoring going on, the premier membership may just have become a bit of a bad part of the business model due to the fun token not having any tangible value anymore.
Honestly, if they just bring premium membership to a halt and keep the rest of the site running as usual, I would be happy with that. I'm happy to sacrifice the btc I spent on the fun tokens if it means the rest of the site continues as normal.

They decreased the rewards value (in sat/RP) due to the increase in fiat value of bitcoin and they don't consider the FUN price for that at all.
The cost to buy premimum membership has decreased while the rewards value (in fiat) hasn't changed and that may be why they don't want to credit the WOF spins anymore.

Interestingly, the rewards have gone down in fiat value. When the BTC price reached a certain level, they decided to peg the base reward amount to $0.02 so they could give less than 50 sats but we were still getting the same fiat value. After a few months, they decided that $0.02 was too much so they gradually started decreasing the value. Today the base reward is worth $0.0105, almost half. According to TheQuin, they originally budgeted for the base prize to be worth $0.008 and that was why they began decreasing the value.

The base prize was actually 0.8 cents when WoF was first introduced so you're still getting well over what we budgeted for.  

Considering the changes to the odds, the 1 cent we are currently getting, and some higher prizes on rare occasions, should still be within the original budget, but the original budget might not make sense anymore if they don’t generate enough revenue to subsidize the WOF.

It is one thing to make this or such changes as you have mentioned, but it's another thing entirely to still manage to keep the same number of users enjoying the premium service satisfied without anyone complaining, humans have a way they react when ever a system try to change what ever they are already used to, and I bet you that if freebitco did do any of those you mentioned, or maybe adjusted all, it would have sparked an outrage which I don't need to tell you that some users may even decide to drop out of the premium membership.

But nonetheless, doing what you said still would have been the best line of approach since the fud can only last but for a few weeks.

It is even less understandable if we think that customers like me, who are not premium, still receive our daily WoF. Yesterday, I don't know why, I received 3 in my email. It happens from time to time. Not that I have high hopes for it, though, I still play the free game from time to time and the WoFs, but I doubt I'll be able to withdraw anything if the time comes.

I think the number WoF will be vary so maybe that following with what happen to Bitcoin. But that doesn't matter as I still receive WoF until now like you and others. The WOF spins you receive via emails have nothing to do with how many FUN tokens you hold. You receive those WOF spins through emails, if you have subscribed to promotional emails.

The speculation here on WOF tickets and premium is very disappointing. I've already taken a big loss on my FUN holdings to not get the rewards I bought them for and staked them for isn't acceptable.  If the program is losing them money then they should stop selling new FUN tokens and/or change the terms for newly staked tokens but honor all staked tokens prior to that date.

Otherwise its a breach of the agreement.

You are right about the breach of the agreement and note that they should credit the WOF spins even if you don't stake your FUN tokens.
The only requirement for receiving WOF spins is to buy and hold 2500 FUN tokens.

Yeah, they had almost perfect reputation until this story. They worked hard in all these years to build their reputation and now they have ruined everything in few months :/

Because they charge a premium for every token sold, the current cost is 7 sats and to become a level 1 premium member it would cost 17,500 sats. When the token was 50 sats and they charged 51 sats on FBC, it cost 127,500 sats. The cost was 7x higher back then but the rewards were expected to be 11x higher. As high as the price was back then, we could recoup our investment faster.

The premium program got disbalanced after FUN price crashed. They didn't keep it fair for premium members who bought FUN when it was more expensive. As FUN lost price, they should have balanced the premium tiers costs accordingly, just like they do with faucet hourly rewards and WoF rewards.

This way they would also help decreasing the supply of FUN on the market, as more FUN would be locked or idle on the wallets.

Anyway, I don't think they even cared about making it work at all...

The yield of the tokens still makes it a no brainer buy for some, you only have to believe the site will continue as it has done previously and also to have a use for the site to have a natural interest in holding those tokens.   The yield will repay what you put in, this will vary in the timeframe by the amounts gambled and also held on deposit.  The spins is a side bet, a bonus to keep you entertained while waiting for the full year to mature etc.

   It adds up ok for some but not all of course, most of the users of the site are probably just random public and not holding that much BTC which is normal so the spins matters alot to the average masses and its a big fail not to deliver for those very vocal masses surely.

Sounds like a fair idea but I'd guess its a balance sheet entry for them as a token total mass or market capitalization.  BTC altering the outcome of each spin adds stability in the result cost, for a business anything that adds stability is a big plus.   I would guess they already consider the lock and pay for doing that as the benefit to long term holders and in proportion to the amount held.   Iam wondering if the token movements are as mysterious and long term as BTC itself, hopefully we find out this is just a 2016 moment.

They do not think to suspend or stop the premium program, because letters are still coming to the mail asking to buy premium acanthus and receive 16 WOF. And sometimes the same banner hangs on the site itself.
But for those who have a premium account, this premium account is really stopped. It is very fair of them to stop charging WOF for premium while at the same time encouraging people to buy premium accounts. Well, they have no conscience at all. I would like to know who is behind this site. It is time to catch them in one place

The other idea would be that in order to fix a problem they have to halt or disconnect the process in some way.   Hopefully thats it, I get the other take but I dont see that spins are the burden as such.  If spins was a great point then it'd effect the free spins given out both on the email promotion and the notify enable daily spin.  I reckon its the workings, programmers arent cheap.

I know someone who went to University computer science etc., great debt, usual story but qualified as SAP certified which I know from my family is a big deal for gigantic database work etc, government or national level records.   Anyhow they did so well in that field, they have no debt just a few years later;  I figure to service a big database is not cheap work.   That has to be the sticking point for it all.

I don't think they made "any" announcement, let alone a big announcement regarding suspending the WoF spins or the premium membership program.
To be honest, I am quite shocked to see that you have locked up your FUN tokens for 360 days considering the situation with freebico.in.
We have been seeing issues since a few months now which is enough reason why we shouldn't be holding any FUN tokens or at least locking them up anymore.
