Thanks for all the response, folks. I cannot reply to each of you so maybe I'll focus on what people want to know.

My Alts: COV, TBAR, VST, and LALA

For those telling me to just HODL, yes I am decided to HODL TBAR and COV, and to those people asking if I want to enter trading, yes, I am eager to learn but not willing to risk a lot from my holdings.

I want to learn the basics so that while I am waiting for the market value to rise, I can invest new learning about crypto and hopefully earn a profit.

I just don't know where to start or what are the things that I should consider in learning the basics.

Basic lesson for you would be to go on exchanger and see if your coins are already taking the dip or not. If they are not in the dip position then just wait for the pump to come. You can easily manage to get 1-3% pump/profits in this way if it comes anyway.

If you see your coins are already taking the dip then check your purchase rate and see where you stand in the loss or check how far are you from the break even. If you think you are at break even then its good news as coins mostly will pump after the good dip and thus you can get more than 5% or so profits.

If your coins are too wavy then try to get into swing trades. This can be done 4-5 times a day grabbing small profits and earning big.

I guess it will depend on the coin? Did it stop moving already for greater heights?
If it is then it could be time to do the trade and get more out of it.

I remember AION and I traded just a little amount of it.
Within a week I manage to get 80 more AION just by trading it. Just because of the fluctuation where it keeps on going back to where its price is.

Try to monitor your tokens then maybe you could create a solution into what you want to do with it.

As of now, one of my tokens is doing good as its platform is in stable development. I am waiting for the much better market before making a decision on which coin will I give up.

If I were to start swing trading, how much should be my capital for starter?

Hi guys, I have a couple of alts in my wallet right now and I want to gain profit.

I want to earn a profit while waiting for a better market value. Should I enter trading(where I don't have an idea on how to and where to start) or should I stick on HODLing my coins?

Looking at the market movement, is it a good time to start trading?

Is it risky or not an ideal move if I start to study trading using some of my holdings/alts?

I am eager to learn how to do trading(short-term or day-trading).

Any thoughts? TIA
Like why not cash out a small amount, when it comes to cryptocurrency we will always be blinded by our greed and our love for money, there will always be i can hold a bit more, the price will keep on going up, until at the point where its starts declining and you have missed your chance to get some profit, so what i recommend is that each month you cash out a small amount of your profit, that why you still get the best of both worlds.

I like to do trade.instead of holding trade are interesting because daily I can get some pure money. That makes me happy and I can spend my regular financial with that money.I also like to hold, but Its really for the long term. Now holding some good coin for 2020.

Hey, how did you start trading and what are the strategies in trading did you use to earn profit daily?

It might be the same thing that’s running in my mind. Daily trading while having some coins on hold.

Definitely trading is a way to make your crypto currency growing but you need appropriate knowledge or you will lose your investment capital, and holding can be more profitable than trading in long term so all you have to do is hold a better crypto currency if your coin is one of the best crypto currency just hold it or just buy bitcoin with i and hold that coin.

Currently in HODL mode since 2013...but the BTC held is getting to the point that IF the price of BTC was to dump back to under 6k

I'd probably crack and flush it all....(still have alts but still)...the yo/yo'ing of the price is starting to wear me down....show a 'bottom'

of around 9K to 10k and my panic like a  12-year-old ..in full SELL reflexes MAY be manageable...

+the higher it goes, the more my impulse to sell and use the proceeds for 'dubious purposes' (like getting a life....I've been mining crypto

so long, I forget what that is kinda...but so I'm told...)

You can do both but if you want a long term profits it's better to hold your altcoins, if they have a potential.
Remember there's always a risks in trading, you should control your emotion and trade that you can afford the loss.
If you think you have this much of the capabilities that you can do better in trading, then it is better to go for it as it can help you in making of more money and that too without waiting for so long. But if you want to play a safe game, then you must keep a good control over your emotions and that you need to go for holding of all your coins for longer time and that you need to keep your nerves under your control.

What is alts do you have? There are many alts with the future (Cardano, Gup, etc.), you must kept its. In general, it is better to look on the market, if during a week several downs and growth, then it is better to trade.

Trading requires TA which is a specialty that can take years to learn and decades to master and with the FINTECH industry trading becomes even more difficult to come out with a profit. Nowadays you're trading against computer systems that can beat any trader, regardless of expertise. That being said I've made all of my money by hodling, all of my positions come from hours of research.

have you learned about analysis technical? If not yet, I recommend you to begin to learn it first. If you have learned about analysis technical, you can use Fibonacci, RSI, and MACD to help gain profit. And you can buyback again when the market does correct phase. In this situation, if you use Elliot waves, it's very good to gain profit and play scalping mode.

If you want to gain from your investment, holding it for a period of time and see the market whether it rise or drops. If it rise then you can trade your coins and ensuring little profit. But if you hold it for a long time, you could have a chance to gain bigger profit from your investment.

trading can be done when we already have the potential of a good coin, but for now when looking at the market is less good and unstable I think hold can be an alternative option to be able to find a safe point.

I also like to keep coins instead of trading every day because trading makes my psychology worse and I can not hold more than 3 days when the price drops. I think trading is only suitable for people who have good psychology and can control emotions for a short time but sometimes they also sell panic for fear of falling prices. The best advice is to keep the coins instead of trading them every day because you can lose everything if you trading every day

If you are just starting to trade then hold while you are starting because you can earn money while you are learning how to trade but of course it's still a risk even you are just holding.

Before trading, you should understand first how it works because there are some people who made a mistake of buying instead of selling or the other way around and it will result in a loss. If you are really determined to learn trading then there are so many sources. In youtube alone there are so many traders but if you want a comprehensive one then babypips.com is a good source of learning.

Looking at the market movement, is it a good time to start trading?

Is it risky or not an ideal move if I start to study trading using some of my holdings/alts?
There is always a risk and if you don't have risk management then there is a higher possibility of losing instead of profiting in a trade. If you want to learn trading then it is not enough to just hold your coins. You need to move and experience it yourself so that you will have an idea as well how to control your emotion when trading.

My answer will be trade.......Because I have made loss from trading several times. Yet, I am not disaapointed at all. Although I have made losses, I have learnt a lot and most importantly I have acquired confidence. Experience has immense value especially in trading. Now I can trade with confidence that hepls me to gain profit.I thik if you buy at low price and wait for better profitable price Mostly you will never loss.Although over the last couple of months market is fluctuating and most of the currencies price decreasing. So, Making profit is little bit difficult at this time.

There is a lot more benefit in less time than trading. Holding it a long time, and there is a long way to profit from trade. Having a little knowledge about trade can be much more beneficial.

I think that it is still better to hold since the market has just started to recover. There's still a big chance that the prices might dump soon. If you really want to earn then it is just fine to trade this early but you'll only have a small profit. If you are so eager to earn then it is better for you to hold to the moon and try selling of the market fully recovers.

To me. I will choose hold. in a gentle way. no need to think. I do not have much time for this market. as well as time to the trader. I usually buy coins and hold them for a few months. sometimes I have a hole. as most profitable. more or less
