The only difference between ethereum bitcoin & other altcoins, is that BTC and ETH are never goign to stop going up, that is why i think that it is more than difficult to choose between btc and eth. Both coins are very promising. But I like the ether more. It seems to me that this coin can give me more profit than bitcoin.
Both eth and bitcoin are very good for long term and profitable. Since you like more ether anyway it is okay because there are many smart contracts for ethereum. So for me both I had btc and ethereum for me to earned big in the long run. These coins are coins that have good potential for us to keep in the long run, and let's say we buy both, and we'll get a big advantage when both will go up, and let's say you better choose one too okay if you prefer to choose Ethereum is also up to you. |

Hey all.
I am confused about these two (BTC and ETH), which one is best to invest/hold for long term ??
Both are good coins I think invest in both is better than invest in one coin. but if must choose between BTC and ETH I prefer BTC because I believe that BTC prices will recover earlier than ETH " recover to the end of last year price " How much time I should hold from these two??
It depends on your strategy, I think you must make targets " time, profit, etc " to determine it Price is going up now a days, what is the best time to buy ? I should wait for buy right now ?
Maybe it's a good time because the current price is cheap " when compared with prices at the end of last year " |

to be honest, i prefer both, but ethereum is much more faster and maybe that is the reason of why i prefer it (but it depends, most times you need bitcoin over ethereum) and it is true that most sellers are always accepting bitcoin instead of ethereum.

Ethereum is more profitable than bitcoin and No need a lot of capital to buy ethereum than bitcoin
bitcoin is needed a lot of money because price bitcoin is high. for me the best choice is ethereum.

Both coins are good to hold in the long run. Both will equally provide great benefits. The longer you hold it the more chance you get to get the maximum profit. But for ETH investment seems to require a longer time, because the ETH with BTC is different. The fluctuating BTC nature and significant spikes can give you huge profits in an instant. |

Yes, Everyone's need for profit is always a problem. We hear or witness bitcoin can break the price and bring wealth. ETH is probably not. - big investment. meaning large profits or heavy losses. Most likely to be like that. Bitcoin is most popular coin and many seek to invest even with this price and it will never stop. So in long term bitcoin will only go up in price we saw this path in passing years every time we have halving we saw preparation for increase of price. So in every way bitcoin is better option but now with so many ICOs involved you need to have at least one ETH in wallet. |

the best time to buy was a month ago when bitcoin was worth 6700-6500 dollars and ether was worth 350 dollars. but now you can invest, but if you want more profit then better ether, it can rise in price by 70-80% in the near future, and bitcoin is about 50% follow-up I think |

Bitcoin has limited supply and less than 19% available. Ethereum most certainly will be classified a security then most exchanges will not be able to trade. |

I focus more on bitcoin because it is a trusted coin and it can make the bitcoin value increase indefinitely, and for ethereum although it can not match the bitcoin but ethereum has shown more stable benefits, and making ethereum as an investment is also a good choice. |

I think both are more than qualified to be longterm investments. The beauty
of BTC is that ist can also be considered short termed, with little spikes and
changes in prices one can easily procure little definitive profits, depends on
goals set. ETH is also a very profitable long term investment, steady slow
and gradual increase is a big assurance that ETH is just getting started. Now
both are the best long term investments, they must go together since BTC's
price changes affects ETH and other altcoins in the market.

I still managed to buy a half dozen etherium. I think that this will be a very good prospect for the future for my investments. But I'm not left with the thought of investing in Bitcoin, as I still doubt the implementation of my plans and their results. Maybe I'll have to buy a bit Bitcoin, Maybe I'm lucky.

BTC will benefit you with fast time, BTC prices can rise at any time significantly. The best time to buy is when market prices are down, you can wait 1.5 years in the future, I think that's enough to give you a big advantage. If you choose ETH you will need a very long time to earn big profits, because the increase in ETH is slow, unlike bitcoin, and the profit earned will not be as big as your profit from bitcoin.

Both the coins are equally promising for a long term investment.

Both BTC or ETH are good for you to invest. As long as you buy and sell at the right time, every dollar brings you big profits. ETH is much lower than bitcoin. There are many people who invest in ETH because it is less risky than bitcoin.
Bitcoin is better thanEthereum, I think so. I admire Ethereum a lot but that does not mean to not speak the truth. Ethereum returns profit but if we compare it with the ones earned by holding bitcoin, it looks like a new born baby. Due to the most volatile nature that bitcoin holds, it is best at yielding profit over small duration of time. Ethereum has not produced millionaire like bitcoin has. |

Ethereum is most potential coin in the cyrptocurrency and I think it will become very high in the future. Bitcoin is until now is number cryptocurrency and good to invest until now.
