How long was it on when you looked at it? as you could well have been scammed.
My guess is most of the chips start off fine and they die out the longer it's mining. Have you changed any settings at all?

Well I was able to update my miner firmware, Miner chips show ok, mining on pool just fine. But I am able to connect only to stratum. No http connections.

This is an S1 thread. You should be able to find some helpful S2 threads if that's what you need. I bought both models new, back in the day. I still have an S2 running 24/7, using its original power supply. It had issues early on which were fixed by replacing the SD card. I've forgotten all the details, but forum threads at the time were very helpful. The beeping usually means the device has lost its Ethernet connection. You probably know that each X means one mining chip may not be working, but there could be many underlying causes. I have had several power supply failures running S1s or S3s on expensive Gold-rated Seasonic 850 PSUs, but no problem with the stock S2 PSU, so you never know. My main advice is - look for old threads for the model you have - those old threads were full of very specific helpful tips for 'most any problem. For example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647398.0Good luck!

Problem with X is multichain/multishit wallet. Other wallets are no problem and pool minig runs just fine..

Hi guys,
question, perhaps more for programmers and all who went further in depth sw Antmineru S1. But I was wondering this for Antminery S3-S9.
It would be possible to reduce the maximum temperature set by the manufacturer at 80 degrees C?
In S3 and above this temperature limitation can be switched off only. But I needed it must reduce to 60 - 70 degrees C. In order not to overload. Then I could turn off the fan and it would be quiet :-) I have proved that S1 has cooled to 80 degrees C, it automatically goes again. Then it would work as a thermostat. Yes, the production would be lower. But mostly silence. In the winter, it would be ideal for heating :-)

I bought a used S1, but can't get into the gui. Tried resetting twice in row and waiting 2 minutes inbetween, then taking of power, wait 30 seconds, and then starting it up again. Reset does nothing... Front fan is not working. My green light is flashing, the red is is lit, but the wan leds are not lit.

Probably broken fan, youneed to put another one on, it will boot only with a working fan

When I try to ping the IP that's on the antminer, it says destination host unreachable. When I try 192.168.1.99 the same. Then WAN led is still not lit.

Do you realize that you will only make $0.12/day with this miner. If you pay for power you will most likely make -$1.00

I know, but I am only doing it for fun. Seller told me he would take it back if I can't get it to work.

Hook it up with an ethernet cable to your PC (your PC will not be on any network, unless you got WiFi) & see if you can see it at all, change IP to the 1 & then 2 range. It should at least show up........
