Current source code (with comments) should be shared to a select group of people.

I am assuming the actual source has comments.

CFB, does it?

Very little.

This would be good usage of a bounty. Get a java programmer to go through line by line and function by function and add some comments.

Who writes a program, expects the community to vet it, implement it, write on top of it, etc and does not include some documentation? A sadist. That's who.

After reading Come-From-Beyond's comments today and all the confused (but very well intentioned) replies, I'm starting to think Emule is not so far off his rocker as we might think.

The clock is ticking and NXT has competition.

You know who already has instant transactions? Ripple.

well said NxtMinnow. came to the same conclusion. following ethereum also from beginning and there are some nice ideas but mostly as concept/ideas,
nxt is here and now, no reason to overestimate ethereum. Q4 2014 is planned to launch but i guess we won't see them before Q1 2015. ethereum is also
more gearing into financial api, mostly usefull for old school finance, therefore the big interest from this side but nxt is far more people/user orientated.
nxt will have all they want fully operational before they launch thier basic structure.

Speaking of, how is your client coming along?

working at the AE client atm. testing and balance tracing is going on but close to finish.
the apphub client needs to refactor, enabling a distributed applications approach. means
only the account handling is included make it max lightweigthed. alias and AM and some
additional tools are loadable modules on demand via a distributed application layer.

Dear God, reading these last 20 pages makes my head spin.  I understand why some are frustrated with ambiguity and lack of communication, but you need to relax and be proactive!  Much of the mystery from BCNext is attributed to the fact that he is still developing (programming) features.  It is his right to stay anonymous. We will have a committee for unreleased funds in a couple days.  I suggest that this committee also act on behalf of Nxt as our centralized "get shit done" group.  These members will be the face of Nxt.  I also suggest every committee member receive the option of 25k Nxt from unclaimed for their work.

In regards to a NXT "CTO" to continue development come April, my first suggestion would be JL (has anyone asked him?)  I also suggest we take CIYAM up on his offer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.msg5403299#msg5403299), I'm willing to invest BTC in this.  CFB has offered free help to create coin on top of Nxt, anyone who is thinking about this should contact him asap.

Zahlen, please reconsider a place on the Technical Committee, I think you are overestimating the time you will need and you will be a great asset.

James, you are doing awesome work, please keep it up.

CFB, can we arrange a forging math algo audit?

{end of EvilDave style post}

PS, I have a Nxt crypto audit underway, more details to follow.

The good news is I just got the first automated multisig successfully cross validated on all three servers and generated a properly signed transaction.

Maybe I just had to pay TWICE for one order on the AE:

accBal was:

987945 conf, 873090 unconf. before the trade.
702845 conf, 302990 unconf. after the trade

conf Balance: 987945 -   702845 = 285100 = 1900*150 + 100(FEE) OK

unconf Balance: 873090 - 302990 = 570100 =   2*   1900*150 + 100(FEE) Huh

lets wait how the balance looks later when the conf==unconf -  - but how is it that the Trade hits the unconf Balance TWICE?!?!

Can anyone reproduce this or know anything about it Huh

Order was : 1900HIVE @ 150 (1.5nxt?) -> 2850

{'bidOrderId': '2084814903449362881', 'quantity': 1900, 'askOrderId': '12983022864822577544', 'timestamp': 8203706, 'price': 150}]

l8orre, yes. this is what i was talking about yesterday. i have some diffs too which has to cleared quickly. we need a complete balance tracing
to ensure everything is working fine even under heavy load and multiple order/cancel scenarios. i would suggest we are doing a controlled and
coordinated test this weekend and unroll the order/cancel history after heavy trades back to ensure we have a clean match here.

Well from what CIYAM said, the code is readable, but still, it seems like BCNext and CFB enjoy torturing well intentioned developers trying to figure this stuff out by acting like Master PO and Mr. Miyagi rolled into one whenever someone asks a question.

Emule there are other clients available, not everything depends on nexern. He can take all the time he needs. AE is supported by multiple clients already.

Btw, those that don't have an IRC program, download one of these:

Windows / Linux: http://hexchat.github.io/downloads.html
Mac: http://colloquy.info/downloads.html

Then join us on the server irc.freenode.net, and go to the #nxtalk channel. See you there!

is there actually a "danger" of Bitcoin copying and implementing things like AE, AM and TF? Or is this technically impossible?

I read a quote today by Andronopoulos that BTC is waiting for the best altcoins to copy their standalone features and thus make BTC stronger...

Why did he want just 21 BTC?

Maybe coz he is crazy about symbolism?

This is insanity. Reading this mysterio crapo, I am very much considering dumping back to BTC. maybe the Emunie people are not so fucking full of themselves. You sound like a moonie.

Very much your choice. I'm not an emotional trader personally, but everyone has their flavor.  I believe in the development and promotion of NXT, everything else is white noise.
