Testing on Windows XP - am using the NoScript extension (but clearly I let your site execute scripts).
- I can confirm the error. I get "Could not verify transaction bytes (server side)" when try to send AM in Chrome.

Guys, imagine many many assets for BTC on the Asset Exchange. And one of them is the asset of James' gateway.

What could we do to make it easier for average Joe to choose the right and trusted one and ignore the shitty scam assets?

nxt need reputation system.

I would do it showing date created, and number of transfers done.I dont like reputation by users because it could be manipulated.

If a gateway is scammy, people will stop using it and it number of trades will show its not trustworthy. If you find a gateway that has done thousands of trades, and is still working, it should be fine.

Edit: Now i realized nº of trades could also be manipulated,by doing a lot between accounts of the same owner Sad

No matter how fancy the algo would be (by weighting average trades the last 7 days with number of different accounts and star constellation), this could also be gamed.

I think after the April 4th, NxtFunds should be the leading force in this community.

I propose to the 3 Funds to make an annoucement after that date. Each on a separate day to spread the info load.
Since the 3rd part of the plan is released the 4th, i think a week is needed to organise if needed . So something like 10th, 11th and 12th April.

April 10th : TechDevfunds Announcement
April 11th : InfrastructureFunds Announcement
April 12th : MarketingFunds Announcement

In this annoucement, they do a clear roadmap for this year. Not just some fuzzy goal, but clear one. What direction and goal, How the money will be used,  How much exactly for each goal, etc..

I don't think devunds should just be passive, like just rewarding someone when he do some good work, or announce a bounty for a potential project.
They should be active. It mean search for people to work on NXT, make Job offer, going out of the way to find the most efficient to spend the funds, etc...

+1440

Staying passive, people dont donate or help, because they think: why should i give more money, if they  have tons of Nxt and they dont use them.
If you hired devs and constantly used them in useful things, people would colaborate more, whales too.

As many said before, some funding commitee should hire 4/6 devs to work full time on Nxt. Time is precious.
Go and find them, instead of waiting for them to come from vague announcements.Just take proffessionals if necessary paying its price.

@ wesleyh: i also hated having to click, instead of pushing enter, which i always did by default and nothing happened. But i like your idea of making it more secure.+1 at keeping it like that, and having the settings option to change it , with a warning.

+1. I recommend ricot, broodyrookie, and gimre. You can find more about who are good java programmers and interested in Nxt from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397183.0

Good point!! Are there any people working on NXT who don't have a big enough stake to stay motivated? If there are we need to help them get a big stake. Maybe give them an option to buy in at a fixed price down the track.

I would give the option to James.

I second this motion.

Agreed, James is a critical guy for NXT and needs to have enough incentive to stay super motivated, like he has been so far.

What about you ricky, how well-hung are you when it comes to NXT? You're a key figure in this community too.

Thanks for your vote of confidence in me.  I will never turn down a "stock option" in NXT, but I think there are a LOT of people that should receive a such a giveaway before I do.

I think discussing / debating / arguing over who does get on a list of who gets cheap NXT if we succeed and who does not get on that list would pretty much start a war we do not need.  This would be another attempt to "reward" and "motivate" people to participate in NXT.  Implying we need this is implying our original distribution was unfair and our current reward structure is inadequate.  I think a better way would be for whales to step forward and fund private ongoing contracting of key personnel.  This is why CfB is here and what is happening for James and Salsacz now (I think).  I believe we should continue this by lining up both new whale support and new Java programmers.

NXT is currently the only 100% pure proof of stake cryptocurrency.  If you believe in it, buy stake in it.  That's how NXT works (at least for now).  As Worf says, today is a good day to buy.

Hello, i'm an average Joe!

I understand nearly nothing in this thread cause i have no experience with programming and cryptos, exchange and so on. But i can feel positiv and negativ energy and in this project, i can feel a ton of positiv energy. That's the main reason that led me to buy NXT, hold it for long long time, and believe in it! I don't know how many average guys like me read this thread, but i think there are some and there are going to be new ones day by day. For Joe's like me THIS is the most important thing and could also attract new investors!

Just wanted to let you know  Smiley

yes give him 40,000 NXT a month for free!
Actually, as shown in the spreadsheet in my sig, I disbursed to him 48,500 NXT just a few days ago not for free but as legitimate authorized compensation for his very fine work.

Disclaimer: I am NOT accusing anybody of anything, just the last few posts jogged my memory. Just wanted to make that clear  Grin

What happened to the guy how stole Nxt, admitted it once Ricky tracked him down, said he lost it on Visacoin and wanted to give a bit of the cash he stole back?

There was a thread somewhere...

Drexme has repaid 25,962 NXT of NXT he stole (his payments are in the NXTcommunityfund audit spreadsheet in my sig) and by his calculation still owes 1167 NXT.  He is taking credit for 6471 NXT for some other transaction he did to get to his total of 33600 NXT.  I just tracked him down, I haven't followed the whole story so I don't know if he still owes 1167 or 7638.  Either way, it's been a while since we've heard from him.

Emule is OUR troll. He is a part of the NXT odyssey !!! In the history books about the begin, there were BCNext (Zeus) and all other gods. Emule is Loki.

Come on, without Emule the huge NXTtalk of 2400 pages is not the same. I like when he write, it's like a little bird in my grey life.
