This usually happen especially if the ICO needs more fund to operate the project. SOme of them needs to prepare their platform so they need to extend also their ICO period that will compromise their preparation on the platform which later on that will be use in their project implementation. As we all know that developing a platform may be take some time get a full operational mode of the platform.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

For me I think ICO period is long because they want to add more funds in their project and they want to attract more investors for their platform.

The thing is that they need to get people interested and it might take time for people to notice the project and start putting money into it. That is why they let enough time for the ico so enough people can get enough time to see the project and decide if they will invest in it or not invest.

Personally I really don’t trust those projects which last for 20 weeks. I think if the ICO is perspective, it is enough several weeks for a baunty company. And from such project as BELUGA who lasted the whole eternity then one part of an award was frozen on half a year, other part for a year, it better to be aside.

Sometimes ICO wants there project to reach wider community thats why some takes longer than the others. When the project attracts lots of investors, sometimes they end the bounty earlier than expected specially when they reached the hard cap already.

They wanted to get more money to be invested in their crappy ICO project. For me, ICOs who do that are stupid to realize to theirselves that their project has nothing special and just like a "me too" project.

The reward depends on the amount of money ICO sells because of the percentage of ICC hardcap earned, many ICOs because of not achieving the softcap that they cancel the bounty program. So you need to pay attention to the ICO sales speed of the project.

The longer the ICO the more difficult the project is and the harder is to collect soft and hard caps for the team. So I suppose there is a corellation between your earnings and ICO length.

Yes, ICO recently tended to extend campaign time. Some delay issues from devs or the most important reason are the bad market conditions for selling the tokens. That affects the process of raising funds for their projects. Therefore, to ensure the process of ico and investors peace of mind. They often have the idea of extending the time to sell the token and the bounty campaign.

Maybe some projects need some period for implementations, so they extend the ICO period also, to raise as much money as possible. I would suggest to look for ICOs at www.icoguide.com it is very good platform with realistic rates and you have some info at the first page, so it is comfortable.

in my opinion, ICO which has long period aim to get a good result because promotion can maximize. The ICO period is long because they want to raise more money. Some ICOs fail because of this market condition because many investors value is down very highly because of the current high volatility and they want to invest in the new ICO.

I think why the ICO took very long period before it ends, is maybe they want to have the projects to be more successful and they want to promote the projects as long as they can, in order for the investors to get in.

every project I think has its own goal, there is a fast existing old, it all depends on the decision of the team maker if the project is interesting with fast time capable of success in such a way but many also end up extending the project's ICO time.

This is a question I ask myself all the time that why do so many ICOs usually take so long period of time before they are  finally over. Some ICOs could go for long period of time as long as 6 months and 7 months thereabout. Does it mean the longer the period of ICO the better the rewards? Does that long period of time really mean I will have better profits either as a bounty hunter or an investor? I need some clarification and probably some  advise as a newbie to ICO bounty.

I suppose many ICO projects have long time to raise funds by the following factors:
1. This year there are many Ico projects compared to previous years. So, these projects need time to advertise their project informations to more people.
2. The hardcap they put out is so big that it takes a long time to reach that goal.

Probably because they can not collect money for a shorter period of time. The time of those projects that collect hardcaps for a couple of days has already passed and now this is not a very simple task.

ICOs is now a difficult process. If you cant make your softcap during the ICOs, the team might struggle to make headway or probably return fund which has reduced lately. So most teams try to stagger the ICOs process;Providing the sale in different stages while also campaigning using different methods (online and offline).
