Are u getting all x's when u put the cube into overclock?  If so, u prob have one bad board. try taking all the boards out and add back one by one in overclock mode until u find the bad board. make sure to shut down before adding each board.

Yep , all X's when its in overclock mode. Ill try them one by one . Thanks for the advice !

EDIT: You were right.  Seems like 1 of the 6 boards is faulty as you said. 5/6 are working on high clock , when i plug the 6th one ill get all X's again , i guess i will have to contact someone for replacement then.
Thanks a lot for the advice again. At least i know where is the problem now.

Truth!  It definitely took a bunch of time for me to get mine working.

That being said, I feel confident that I could get additional units up and running rather easily.

You are a master! Do you have to keep the cube connected via Ethernet all the time? This thing was slowing down my internet heavily. Even closed my connection a few times.

Yes, it definitely has to be connected via Ethernet all the time.  I have not noticed any slowing of my bandwidth.  I only have one connected and have a 12mbps download speed.

So I can't  connect this to usb on my computer and make it work? Want to move it this cube away from my router. This is Giving me issues with internet.
Now, I just hear a click on cube at start, then it just stops completely. Game over?

Nope.  The USB connection is only for firmware updates.  It can't be connected with your computer to run that way.  It must be directly plugged into the router via the ethernet port.

What internet service do you have?  If the getwork is causing issues, then maybe finding a pool with a higher difficulty setting would be helpful.  What pool are you using?

What PSU are you using?  It seems like that was a problem I had at first when I was using a PSU that had +12V1@18A, +12V2@16A

The new PSU I am using has +12V1@25A, +12V2@25A and it has been running non-stop since I got it up last week.

OK, so my Cube wouldn't work properly with an old Dell PSU with 18A per rail.

It also wouldn't work properly with a Corsair CX750 with a single 12V rail.

It however is working perfectly on the following PSU:  OCZ ModXStream-Pro 600W

This supply has two 25A 12V rails, but I'm running the Cube off a single rail (the two PCI-E cables run off the same rail).  The Cube is mining perfectly for 9 hours at just under 38GH.  The OCZ supply is perfectly quiet and cool.  Bonus is, this was one of the cheapest 600W 'Brand name' PSUs available off Amazon, ordered Saturday night, arrived first thing this morning. All my miners don't use much more than 30kB/s at peak across the internet.  I think you have other issues that aren't anything to do with the Cube.

Can someone help me debug a restarting cube?

Every 8 minutes or so (8 minutes and 40 seconds it seems), the cube will restart automatically and the effect is an overall lower hashing rate.  I have tried running the proxy on 2 different machines but I get the same results.  I notice a lot of warning messages in the proxy logs and BTCGuild will estimate my hashing at about 24GH/s.  The heatsinks are all tight, it's in a well ventilated area and all looks good except for the "Started before:" time never going that much higher than 8 minutes.  I've created brand new workers and done a factory reset.  What can I try next?  Huh

For the proxy, I am running it with:
Code:
mining_proxy.exe -o stratum.btcguild.com -p 3333

Proxy logs:

Cube config:
http://imgur.com/8PpXxI5

I am using the Corsair CX500M which should be plenty of power for one cube and it is always cool to the touch.  Setup: http://imgur.com/VZf7i0d

Could there be a problem with this cube?

That is good to know.  I haven't messed with my power settings to see if it could work on a single 12V 25A rail.  That is great news if I could just get 3 more Cubes! hahah

I use time warner. Is getwork the only method we can mine here. Any other methods which will not slow down my internet? I was using the default pool explained here in the OP.

Mine is +12v @34 (or 35). Should be enough power.

Thats good to know. 30 kbps is nothing. Is it normal to connect the cube to the wireless router, or does it have to be on the modem (I have a cable connection and am connecting my cube to the wireless router).

Definitely sounds like you have enough power.

I have mine connected to my wireless router, too.  Are you having any problems with other devices while the Cube is on?

Some people reported that turning off the WiFi on their Android phones helped fix problems with their Cube.  It's worth a shot... Undecided

I will try that. Connect 2 android phones occasionally at home. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the great guide Dogie!  I just got my cube today and have had some problems, but it is up and hashing at 32ghs overclocked with 5 cards.  I have searched this forum for a solution to my issue and I do apologize if I missed the answer to this.  My problem is when I try and power on the cube with all 6 cards on board it just clicks and turns off.  I have tried different cards in different slots and have determined it is not a particular slot or card that is causing the issue.  I am using two dell power supplies at 375w each.  I have test with a corsair 860w and Seasonic 860w.  All do the exact same thing with 6 cards on board, but work fine with 5.  All my tests were at the low clock setting.  I am suspect of the fuse, but did put in the other that came with the cube.  Could this be causing my issue?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!   Wink

I'd contact your supplier.  You might have a faulty main board and they can probably get you a new one from friedcat.  Some guy apparently got a board overnighted to him from Shenzhen.
