Any brainstorms on how to more smoothly accept EAC for a online store? I was thinking of creating a Earthcoin coupon, so you could submit a $0.0 USD order, Then the buyer would be responsible for converting the EAC 'value' against USD at that time then sending a EAC payment to a wallet I would manage. I would then green-light the order after it was submitted then paid for.
Its crude... to crude for a professional solution, I don't mind doing this by hand a few dozen times. But we have got to work out a better way.

sleek, I like it. atm the whole EAC folder in appdata is not even 180MB on my PC.... it is still quite a lot for a cellphone, but considering 32 gig is standard nowadays and it is getting more and more, and samsung usually offers exchangeable SD cards in their cell phones, even the 180MB sounds not totally insane... some games already need gigabytes on android |

I've used 7z to pack the whole eac folder and it went down to 85MB... so over 50%... maybe if one only updates the app via wifi, it could work? also: why iphone? apple has been losing market share all year... I think android is a bigger market. doesn't mean we should exclude iphone, of course |

I think you have an excellent idea there, I would just wait to implement it until EAC has been listed on a major exchange, then wait until the dust settles. You could then use an automated system that draws the EAC value straight from the largest exchange. Although now would be a great time to exchange goods for EAC since the value is so low, and if you hold the EAC you could see some big gains from it. For the time being you could offer your goods for sale for EAC at "market price" like they do with fish at restaurants, then do the conversion yourself and let the buyer know what they owe for that particular good. Definitely a crude system in the beginning, but is probably worth the extra effort. Plus you would be one of the flagship stores that accept EAC. |

From what I heard, the android app is more or less ready for beta testing any day now. |

Just waiting on a free pass to use a api more than 60 times an hour (because i want to query the price every minute), i hooked most api's to my own... if the owner (crypto stocks) does not want to cooperate i will have to get some values my self but its a matter of hours not days. The app is already working 100%, just need a day testing and if everyone likes it i will push it to apple. About the android app, i really don't know... is it a wallet for sending and receiving ? App = nice, but suggestion: please do not trim the trailing zeros.. how much zero's is enough ? |
