folks, i have a few questions.
when i try to draw the eac-course for the next two month, how can it -not- be under 0.000002?

when and at which point do we have a breakingpoint?

-As far as i know is Earthcoin beeing manipulated at coinedup and on coinex, so it looks, like it is bumped on purpose either because someone is afraid of its concept or wants to get rid of all eac before its tending to zero.

So. If (im not an expert nor sure about that) there is no profitable trading, but the people keeps mining, where at which point does eac increase value?

I'm asking because i dont understand and not because i have a hasty opinion or so. Just inform me please Smiley

It depends on supply and demand.
The demand grows when the general public takes notice of a coin (like promotions, able to buy stuff and such) That is what the EAC team is trying to achieve via the community.
The price however is based on "what do you think it is worth" and "am I missing the boat here (or maybe better fear)". So when more people are wanting the coin, the more money it will attract and the better price it will get. No matter how much is dumped, if the demand is on par with the supply nothing really bad will happen. (So if the pre-mine is being dumped smart, the market won't notice it)

For what I have seen so far regarding the EAC team, they are treating the EAC coin as being a company. A company for a example has a mission statement, has its investors (either premine or external) and is trying to gain a market. And that last part is where the price will be coming from. So if you feel confident about the coin and understand where its pro's and cons sit, and not to forget trust the team, you might end up with a profit.

On the short term however, the big influence are the big markets. Usually when a coin starts and a big market opens, there is a strong price fluctuation. Mainly people selling in bulk and the big miners switching to the coin and dumping their coins as soon as they have them. Again supply and demand.

Currently the BTC is fluctuating drawing a lot of attention leaving the ALT coins behind. It also shows that people withdraw they BTC/sell their alts to make profit of the high BTC.

So whether this coin will make any money soon will depend on marketing on the long term and on the very short term on a big trader where people buy as much as possible and then dump as much as possible.

Btw, when you read about pre-mine and dump by the owner, this happened a few times but for sure not on every coin with a pre-mine. The easiest way to tell whether it will be a pump and dump is to see the effort a developer and the team around him are spending on the marketing area. The disadvantage however is the age of a coin. The younger a coin is, the harder it will be to show good intentions leaving the dev and his team to be an open target. (therefore never spend more then what you can miss on any investment you can think of:)

P.s.
Regarding the smaller markets, The longer they stay out of big markets, the more the coin is spread among smaller investors. The unfortunate part of smaller markets is the volume. Low volume means that anyone with a moderate amount of BTC can either buy a lot influencing the price, or assume that due to low volume, setting a sell/buy wall will scare people in the opposite direction.

Good explaination. thank you!

I think its beginning to become crystal clear there are manipulators of the crypto market.....i think the worst thing that happened to EAC was the leak of the exchange.....it "appears" as if this is definitely having an influence on the cryptsy addition.

Lets see how fast coinye gets added

Yes that's exactly what I've been thinking myself - just hesitant to bring it out in the open here, risking to focus on it more.
But true - I am personally convinced that the reason EAC is not on Cryptsy and also apparently being 'removed' from that Chinese exchange - is directly linked to competition fears.. Like: "If you are gonna open your own exchange - then scr.. you! I'm not gonna invite you into my house!"
But that can hit back into your own face later - if that new exchange becomes popular, which I definitely think it will be - because of one big feature: to be able to convert into real world currency..! And vice-versa..

I think it should be focused on...and i think it should be noticed.  We all do business with these guys and its good to see how potential business relationships are manipulated.

Does anyone think the current alt coin sell off led to the bitcoin selloff?   maybe a few large whales cashing out and causing a panic sell?   sell all their alts for BTC...then sell all their BTC for Fiat?   i am a conspiracy type of guy...so it just leads me in that direction....lots of people above my paygrade in crypto....

I stand by my post the devs have given 1M EAC bounties away publicly ,Im sure there are lots more being handed out to get the various supporting projects off the ground and the total mined including 2x day is 271,050,000 at the time I posted.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=380010.0
The first one got 200 000EAC. At least to page 35 (maybe a little less than 700 receivers) everone got at least 20 000. This 14Mio. Some of them got more.
i would say with all give aways it will be at least 25-50mio.

Coinye coin already has more than twice Ghash than EAC does.

sorry but i needed to report title to moderation...
[ANN - NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED] *EarthCoin* Is Here To Make A Splash For 2014!
it says NEW COIN JUST LAUNCHED since launch and it makes me (i think it mustn't only me) to read whole topic again and again till realising it's the relatively old earthcoin..
as it has a big community and topic is at first lines mostly, it's really annoying...

Regarding the pre-mine. I wonder how the community would react if a large part (in total) is being donated to known charity causes (like a PR stunt). I wonder how the community would react to that. (for sure donations have to be made gradually as the charity causes will require the money and lead the coins directly to the market, but still)

The only 2 hurdles holding them from doing such a thing is the coorporation of well known charity causes and an open book (who donates what) on behalf of the charity causes to avoid money laundry claims:)

@earthcoin

I'm keeping EAC at the top of ultra busy alt-currency subforum.
Same as all the others, childish and repeating themselves posters.

Does that not count for something.

EDIT: LOL did you just delete THAT. It was a little sub-par/beyond your usual standards remark, wasn't it?

I did delete it, and now I'm just going to put you on ignore.

It worked, you got me a bit mad, congrats Smiley That's all you did though, you're silly to think your participation is going to sway things here.

And while you're there...

Any correlation between 2% premined and not making it to cryptsy ?

I actually have a game dev company in talks over an online html 5 game just to begin to test the waters but the recent stall has me rethinking this....i hate to second guess but its becoming inevitable.

I still mine 100% EAC but i am wondering how much is enough to hold and what to mine next.(i think this is becoming the general consensus)

I think this industry is in for a wide awakening with the coinye thing...if you have never been on the other side of a large lawsuit.....get ready...right or wrong....its going to cost you a ton so i will steer clear of that one.

I love this coin and will always keep it in the portfolio i just have to look at the crypto world as a whole....I think the exchange competition is great for the community in general..whoever is left standing will have the better product.

As much as I want to see EAC on Cryptsy, I see no reason for them not to add EAC and there have been no new coins added since Earthcoin published his chat with them here...

I guess we will just have to wait and see, but I really think it would increase the interest for EAC a lot if it was to be traded at Cryptsy.
