Out of interest, how do you arrive at the idea that August/October 2014 is "near" January 2014 ? TWO CRITERIA1. User accounts registered near DASH launch date 2. First posts already in DASH and the posts are not newbie-ish if you are 1 only, you are not qualified if you are 1 and 2, you are qualified if you are 2 only, you are qualified look at the top 4 on my list...prominent DASH cult members Minotaur26 Signup: February 26, 2014 Rating: Hero member Business Development(DASH team) Bigrcanada Signup: January 5, 2014 Rating: Hero member DASH foundation member Tantestefana(first account) (commented) Signup: January 20 2014 Rating: Hero member DASH foundation member Lebubar Signup: February 6, 2014 Rating: Hero member Evan is this four included in the "WE" ? http://lists.linuxfoundation.org/pipermail/bitcoin-dev/2013-December/003964.htmlWe have detailed plans on how to implement it and the roles we are looking to fill. I have one serious question about Dash, but do not want to be labelled a troll One, or several, hard questions about Dash is not trolling. Sociopathic flogging of horses, is. Shot buddy. Ok then. Being a veteran GPU miner myself (four years), I find myself wondering how Dash attracts miners to the network since, I myself, would initially balk at such terms. How is it profitable for miners, and who the hell is GPU mining Dash? I would also like to disclose that I am invested in Dash. Thanks guys!

TWO CRITERIA And what is that supposed to demonstrate ? That the poster is part of a secret Dash cabal who are all assigned to debut on bitcointalk at co-ordinated intervals ?

such power we have as community that we can make posters like iCEY delete their own posts and repost them out of fear they get overlooked (while in fact they get ignored by us ofc). Just remember iCEY, everytime you delete one of your own posts a Dash buy order gets fulfilled somewhere .. somehow.

Most of the GPU mining takes place in multipools these days and with the right equipment and possibly low electricity costs it can still be profitable to mine Dash With Dash's increase in BTC & USD it gets even more profitable these days despite the high mining difficulty. Over time the block rewards will get lower and lower but for the next few years GPU mining will continue as is, untill one day ASIC's or other forms of specialised equipment get developed because it gets profitable to do so by then. That is at least my vision on it.

non-newbs first post darkcoin, become a die hard-hardcore exclusive-cultist DASH shill....isn't that a bit fishy for a coin that is not even 3 months old? You might be onto something there. That must've taken some thinking.

. Yup... our beloved trolls are without question under a fierce DDoB - Distributed Denial of Brain. HI all,

how on earth can you not know the answer with a nickname like yours? Most of the GPU mining takes place in multipools these days and with the right equipment and possibly low electricity costs it can still be profitable to mine Dash With Dash's increase in BTC & USD it gets even more profitable these days despite the high mining difficulty. Over time the block rewards will get lower and lower but for the next few years GPU mining will continue as is, untill one day ASIC's or other forms of specialised equipment get developed because it gets profitable to do so by then. Partly true. If we look at the major pools, they're not multi's. IMHO, it's partly due to strategy. When is the best time for mining? When it's not profitable. Whaaaat? Think about it. If you cover the losses while it's not profitable, you're also not selling coins to cover bills (faux-HODL). Many miners drop from the network and hashrate decreases, up'ing the rewards for yourself. After X months, price rises to profitable levels, now all your "non-profitable" coins are worth much more than what they would be if you'd sell for bills.

someone correct me if i'm wrong here but with the Dash Core you get the full client which enables you to perform darksend mixing / darksend transactions and with the Electrum wallet you get a light wallet for quick transactions (without Darksend mixing / sending).

Ahhhhh, good morning community! the trolls are back...that means good things are happening! You give the trolls too much credit. If you bake a pie and the little kid from next door smells it and cames over for a bite, did the pie get baked because the kid next door smelt it ? Just kidding, I know what you mean. We're all pie to them. They just can't get enough of us.

Hello everybody. I would first like to say happy birthday, we made it. Over the last week I spent some time putting together a little present for the community. You can view it live at http://darq.io/dash-timelineThank you to @Raptor73 for letting me use his images: Please leave feedback on typos, events, dates, etc. If you want anything added let me know. If you want to embed it on your website you may do so: Please give proper credit. Embed code below: donate: XdarqoPGPhpFGDGD8rxnDzUh87d9yx98Jj Enjoy. <iframe src='//cdn.knightlab.com/libs/timeline3/latest/embed/index.html?source=1tas33D3li8GaCktwqog0RxSlWt7FEOf8_i5wGzBJcZE&font=Default&lang=en&initial_zoom=2&height=650' width='100%' height='650' frameborder='0'></iframe> GREAT presentation, thanks! You might consider using all the data and do something similar on https://slate.adobe.com/welcome/. It is another great visual tools, scrolls vertically but, more importantly, your DASH presentation would than be a part of a community outside of our own and will have reached even more people. Just my 2 cents. Take them at their worth or shrug them off. Anyway, thanks again!! Hey wozzek23 thank you for the feedback. I looked into slate.adobe, looks really nice. There is no way for me to import my work to there so I would have to recreate the entire slideshow. I wouldn't mind doing that but it will take some time, which I don't have a lot of right now. Eric Sammons is editing the current slide show for typos (as he is an editor). I'll continue to update the slideshow by adding new slides, updating current slides. If somebody wants to recreate the slideshow over at slate.adobe they have full permission to do so, just let me know so we don't do double work.

If you seek more users and wish to go more mainstream I strongly suggest you throw a high profile airdrop announced at the Miami conf.
There WILL be a high profile airdrop at BTCMiami. Stop by the DASH booth and get a paper wallet. Upload the DASH to your phone, take it over to the DashNDrink machine and turn it into a soda before your very own eyes. The soda will be delivered Instantly, Privately, and Securely. No other crypto currency can do that.
