You can download the current blockchain (bootstrap.dat file) from:

https://github.com/UdjinM6/dash-bootstrap

tips: XmoocowYfrPKUR6p6M5aJZdVntQe71irCX | identity: https://keybase.io/moocowmoo
service: https://masternode.me -- The first automated masternode service. Ugly website, stellar uptimes and hands-on support. Over 150 nodes with 300+ days uptime!

Alex, all you've done so far was great. While the talking heads are not my favorite (your other work was freaking fantastic) I wonder why don't you submit a budget proposal for the community to fund @ https://www.dashwhale.org/budget? Just list all these great videos you've created and outline the plan?

To put my money where my mouth is, as a small token of gratitude for all your contributions, I just sent you several DASH to the address you indicated.

In fact I would like to setup (increase) my activity in the areas of DASH video and audio production (at the expense of the budgeting system), but I have some difficulties with this (so I need help):

1. Due to my limited knowledge of the English language I can work independently with only Russian language (which is not a "priority №1" for DASH I think).
To work with other languages I need help of native speakers (at least - to select the most suitable actors, and as a rule - write a good script - and this is very hard part of work!)
2. it's not area of my profession and competence - I can't guarantee community good quality in advance - but I like current results (they don't guaranty same good results in the future)/ Also I like the way a can make production very inexpensive.

In fact I would like to produce (manage production) with budget money:
1. German, Spanish, ... voiceovers for "What is Dash?" video.
2. Russian, Chinese and Spanish versions on this "Dash faces" video.

If somebody can support me with it (with scripts, with donations or with votes) - please let me know!

I don't earn money with it - but there are unavoidable costs that must be covered.

Alex, would you please remind me (give me links) of your own videos? Just as a reminder. You seem as a great, modest guy whose work is really beneficial to the DASH and its ever widening community. I'd start like this:

Quote
2. Russian, Chinese and Spanish versions on this "Dash faces" video.

This is your own video, correct? And you have others I guess you have English video transcript. If not, for the budget purposes:

Step 1: https://www.speechpad.com/ get the quote based on the minutes and you have your budget for the video transcript. (I use them, they are good);
Step 2: http://www.translatorscafe.com/cafe/default.asp  you find
-- Russian;
-- Chinese;
-- Spanish translators. The prices are affordable so you can ask for the quotes based on the total word counts in your videos. That's your second budget item.

Step 3a: a much cheaper, faster to produce, version would be to add sub-titles to the videos. If the audience complains and requires voice overs you go
Step 3b: You get voice-over artists, say here: https://www.upwork.com/hire/voice-over-freelancers/ (I hate, hate, hate, hate, Upwork, but the people need work and you need affordable voice-over artists.

You add your own costs and a modest income and voila!, you will have had several language versions as a nice start. Than, I am 100% sure, the community will keep supporting you to keep creating great videos.

Good luck.

I think "What is Dash?" video is kind of "official" video made for 10x more money and required 50x more time than your own so I would let them worry about it and its version, unless Tungfa or some others involved in making it or whomever is responsible green lights it. (you do not really need a permission, but you do not want to duplicate work if they're are producing language versions)

I have a masternode that keeps disappearing from dash ninja  Huh

The 5 min port check on 9999 shows no probs. I restart the service, kick it off with the wallet and it returns to dash ninja for an hour or so, then drops off again. I can only presume it's a ninja issue, because the port check never has any downtime. I'll just keep my fingers crossed for a week or so (and stop pushing it to the back of the queue by starting with the wallet)

Any ideas appreciated though!

I'm not sure if this is related, but I just noticed an anomaly in the Balance reporting at DashNinja for a fairly new MN. The node has received 4 payments. They all show up fine in the wallet, but DashNinja shows only the most recent one when it reports the balance.

Edit: Update - just noticed DashNinja also correctly shows the "Total Paid" amount for that MN. Only the Balance seems to be incorrect.

Edit: Update again - on further digging, I think it's probably a red herring - a side-effect of some Darksend Mixing. Sorry!

 HDD ? How long since you've dumped the debug.log? Also, keep in mind Dashninja may have it's quirks from time to time. If Elb is working the backend, some funky info may result from it.

 Did you try list | grep xx.xx.xx.xx ?

Nicolas Cary seems to endorse the priorities that Dash evolution has placed at the heart of its development plans.

(If you don't know who Nicolas Cary is, he's the CEO of blockchain.info).
