Hey, last few days to vote.  I'd like to particularly point out the proposal to pay Tao for all the work he does.  Whatever you want to call it, community leader, etc... the title doesn't matter.  It's a show of appreciation for a person who does so much for Dash.  Anyone worried he will become an "Official Spokes Person", there is no such thing for a decentralized project.  I see this as a way to thank Tao and help him with his expenses.

So please consider these things and give him a thumbs up!

dashd: res_query.c:262: __libc_res_nquery: Assertion `(hp != ((void *)0)) && (hp2 != ((void *)0))' failed.

dashman restart also give this message.

How to correct this error message ?

Check your servers DNS health.  Just a guess from this ticket google found https://github.com/golang/go/issues/7191

Try:

Code:

nslookup google.com
dig google.com

and see if they work.

Check your servers DNS health.  Just a guess from this ticket google found https://github.com/golang/go/issues/7191

Try:

Code:

nslookup google.com
dig google.com

and see if they work.

I upgraded to ubuntu 16.04 and set DNS to default setting.
After DNS setting dashd run without error.
"dashman restart" is good in removing debug.log   (today I saw this command)

Wow, thank you Tante for your kind words! I am happy with the results of the proposal, a lot of votes in favour, but too many against to get funding for this round. However, I am not one to quit so easily, so next funding round I will submit another proposal that may be a little less political and more focused on the work that I do to bring people and investment to Dash. Stay tuned, I will need your support again! Cheers.

As a long time Genesis supporter I find it good to have them supplying X11 mining again. But ouch when looking at the prices!

The new pricing will be as follows:
Gold: 2 MH/s for 20 USD, Platinum: 50 MH/s for 450 USD, Diamond: 200 MH/s for 1,600 USD.

I just recently got a small asic, a baikal miner @150 MH/s. Of Course I have to maintain it and provide the electricity etc, but that hashrate would come to 1350 USD on Genesis. That's like 2x the price for 1 miner.

Yelp, it looks like Genesis Mining bought the wrong X11 mining hardware

It looks like they bought, something similar, to the 1st Generation iBeLink DM384M X11 at 715watts at 387MHS.

This is now, using at least 83% more electricity than Baikal Miner.

Consequently, the X11 cloud hash is overpriced.
