- 5 minute block target - 6 Confirms per transaction - Difficulty re-targets every 60 minutes - Block reward controlled by moores law ( 1111 / (diff+1 ^ 2)) - 11 chained hashing algorithms - Premine: 0%
Since the reward is variable and depends on the difficulty, is there a maximum amount of coins to be mined? A maximum amount of blocks? Yes, the max coin amount is 84,000,000 Evan confirms that max coin amount is 84,000,000 Wow! We are nearly at 6,500,000 million Xcoins or Darkcoins or Dash if you will/as you wish. That's over threefold the instamine. And it gets even better. Evan Duffield is asking for experienced C++ developpers in the Bitcoin mailing list. http://www.mail-archive.com/bitcoin-development%40lists.sourceforge.net/msg03557.html That means, he has another great project in the pipeline! I'm in! That 84 MILLION in DASH was a post from 2014 Try like 18 Million DASH hahaha and the instamine becomes at least 5 fold more valuable

Basically the dash.org forums are ridden with trolls that nobody will ban. I gave up on those forums months ago.
P.S. If I had to guess, there are probably many who either don't visit anymore or who visit very infrequently. The irony is that the people who ostensibly want more communication are actually driving away the people with whom they wish to communicate.
So perfectly put. I used to spend hours there, was getting involved then realized how upset it was all making me. i took a look last night and just saw a bunch of unknown noob troll troublemakers. one of the obviously clueless noob trolls kept unknowingly referring to DASH as dash coin. they seemed to have a million ideas but no interest in putting their money where their mouth is and putting forth a single budget proposal.

Ugh, that still needs a lot of clean-up. I did another version, can anyone replace this older version with a cleaned up version?

Great comparison between thunder and the masternode backend of Dash. Thanks a lot for taking the time to write the page TanteStefana!

Thanks! I use this script, but sometimes doesnt work :/ In that case, dashwhale has an option to restart a masternode if it is detected faulty, although I do not use it myself. I rely solely on cron restarting my masternode if something is borked and so far it's worked just great

there are plan to change the algo to avoid asic raping this in the future, because x11 asic are already a reality, or nothing will be done?
From the developer: "Another very important point to make about the Satoshi Roundtable was the very large issue with mining centralization in the Bitcoin space. When Satoshi originally invented Bitcoin, he did not anticipate the excessive mining centralization that has become a dominant force in the Bitcoin space. Due to this, we now have a small group of people that literally control the protocol consensus and their short term interests may be in conflict with the long term interests of other stakeholders, industry, users, etc. We definitely do not want our ecosystem to follow the same failed course and we definitely would have under the pooled ASIC mining paradigm. This is mainly because there are differences in efficiency that a miner can gain depending on where they live, which can give a huge advantage when their higher investment returns are compounded. Efficiencies such as cheaper labor, cheap or free electricity and even withholding newer advanced ASICs for their own mining operations, then selling them after they become less effective. After many iterations of these phenomenon in BTC we have come to a situation where the ones who have access to these advantages effectively control Bitcoin. "After hours of discussions, we believe we have found the solution to the unfair mining advantages that produce centralization around certain jurisdictions that control the production of ASICS. We will be releasing much more information about this soon, but are feverishly working on this project for v12.1. We’re going to be releasing much more information about this in the coming weeks; it’s going to be a giant advantage for the Dash project." This could be really cool as a tool after 12.2, we can make all of the network data available to us in a database, then query locally using MYSQL. https://www.periscopedata.com/ab?source=quantcast&ad=so-300x250Imagine graphing stats like Payments Per hour, Account Creations Per Hour, etc. We can track the activities on the network pretty well with something like this. I forwarded this over to Google, now if the Dash price in the next few days suddenly increases by tenfold .. you will know why there are plan to change the algo to avoid asic raping this in the future, because x11 asic are already a reality, or nothing will be done?
