As the designer of #8, I still think #6 is by far the best. #2 just seems a bit too busy and probably won't scale well, but it seems like some people like it more than #6 because of its color scheme. The color scheme can be changed very easily, so I think we should bet too hung up on a design because it's "darkness" or lack therof. I think that's something that can be settled after a design is chosen. Just an example of what could be done for those who think #6 is too dark (using #2's color scheme): guess who couldnt sleep tonight.... I really like this particular color scheme. I think the blue looks good. also, nice coin!

guess who couldnt sleep tonight.... Nice! I'd like to see how it looks with the stylized D made bigger and set behind the text.

I also love the blue color scheme, it gives the coin a look that isn't just suited for the dark web but for everyone

Original source files (AI format) from the designer available here: linkThis is the vector version from the design contest (i.e. not the above 3d rendered image). According to the designer the font used was "Eurostyle bold extended"

You're right - It probably doesn't need the text on the front of the coin, at least not on the front - a big D on the front, and then perhaps the Darkcoin text on the back somehow...

FYI the windows wallet is downloading a 0 length file if you link to it form the .pdf confirmed. Im fixing that right now. There was an error with the last build and I hve it set to automatically upload if the file changed. Its uploading now. You can always see when the last update was at http://darkcoin.io/beta.php

Is there an ETA for the hard-fork to implement masternode payments?
I'm going to be releasing a couple more updates for V6 to stabilize masternodes and payments. Then V7 will have masternode signatures for secure communication (ECDSA). After that maybe a couple fixes, then we'll be out a beta. After that my next project is masternode payments. I'd say 3-4 weeks out maybe? Then we'll start the RCs and after the network grows and we have stability, I'll opensource. Thank you for the update - so this means a month (or more?) before Darksend is out of beta and fully public?

It wont be released until it ready, I know that vague, but we want to make sure all the bugs are worked out so the final product works exactly the way it should. Technically DarkSend works now, we just want to make it better, we hope everyone understands and agrees.
