Expanded the rich list with a new "vanity" feature for the block explorer at http://chainz.cryptoid.info/drk/ :

All addresses with a non-zero amount are now ranked, so you can see where you stand far beyond the TOP 100!  Grin

(keep in mind this is for individual addresses, not wallets, so secondary and change addresses are not accounted for)

You might never know until everything becomes history.

It is always better to fail trying than doing nothing and seeing that somebody is hitting the success...

People don't know how will the coin, explosive or die.
But now they are from the future! Smiley Smiley

My next masternode will be on a different host in an other country.  Wink

Lol that's probably a good idea with all these Amazon EC2 servers. BUT at least they have a choice of 6 or so locations around the U.S and the world.

My next will be behind a decent DDOS protection.

A strong root password can help too.

I have edited the guide.

sudo passwd -l root

"far beyond" is almost right... "far, far beyond" would better express it... :p

A lot of coins are forking and using X11.
It's seems that DRK/X11 can become the new Litecoin/Scrypt for standard

Is Darksenda Dark-only feature, or It can be integrated in others coins ?
What I read, is the darksend will be open source, so may Darkcoin will not profit of the improvement if another coins copy it ? no ? Sad

The DarkCoin Beta Client shows some synchronisation problems.

Ever now and then it tries to synchronize with a Blockchain of about 500k blocks. I asume that this is the BlockChain from LiteCoin.

I saw the very same behaviour with LimeCoin only that this Coin every now and then tried to synchronice with the DarkCoin Chain (46k)

As I read it it is because all 3 Coin use the same P2P_PREFIX , unsigned char pchMessageStar

Dev. Please read this:

->  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=559534.msg6118044#msg6118044

And check if it's an issue or not.

I know too less about the Crypto to really tell but I can tell you that my DarkCoin Beta wallet goes through the Out of Synch at least once a Day and every time I see it and check it tries to synchronize a block chain of several 100k.

Hi All,

First post and apologies if this has already been covered. I was hoping someone could help me get to a good config for mining darkcoin.

I currently have a HIS R9 280X IceQ X2 and a Sapphire R9 280X Dual-X running on BAMT 1.6 using sgminer-sph 4.1.0. The cards combined are hashing at best at 3.2MHS and undervolted to 1.100 does this sound about right?

If anyone can advise whether I could get a better hash rate on these cards and whether they have undervolted the cards I would appreciate it.

I have two R9 280x's running in my rig @ 4.6mh (2.3mh/per card).  I undervolted my cards for scrypt but it wasn't necessary for X11 for me at least, the power savings was in the 40% range already.

Here is my sgminer-sph.conf:

Code:
{
    "pools": [
        {
   "poolname" : "P2Pool",
   "url" : "stratum+tcp://cryptohasher.net:7903",
   "user": "",
   "pass": ""
        },

        {
   "poolname" : "P2Pool (backup)",
   "url" : "stratum+tcp://66.211.20.245:7903",
   "user": "",
   "pass": ""
        }
    ],
    "auto-fan": true,
    "gpu-fan": "40-100",
    "temp-cutoff": "90",
    "temp-overheat": "85",
    "temp-target": "75",

    "worksize": "256",
    "xintensity": "100",
    "thread-concurrency": "8192",
    "lookup-gap" : "1",
    "expiry" : "1",
    "gpu-threads" : "1",
    "vectors" : "1",
    "shaders" : "2560",
    "gpu-dyninterval" : "7",

    "api-port": "4028",
    "api-listen": true,
    "api-allow": "W:127.0.0.1",

    "failover-only" : true,
    "no-pool-disable": true,
    "no-submit-stale" : true,

    "queue": "0",
    "scan-time" : "1",

    "kernel" : "darkcoin",
    "kernel-path": "/usr/local/bin"
}

EDIT:  One other thing, my cards never get above 60C and fans run at 40% (1900rpm).

I used to have 1.22% of all DRK coins like 2 weeks ago, then 1.21%, now 1.2%. Are new coins being mined that quickly? It's worrying me a bit.
