Can somebody explain how I can set up a masternode and when I will get a payment for it? Also, what sort of strain will it put on my system? Thanks!

I believe the only bitcoind binary is for linux, it won't run on windows... but if you just want to download it there you  may just need to right click and save as since IE is dumb.

Jeez, earlier today I was whining that DRK was trending downwards and we need a release candidate. 2 posts later Evan posts the release candidate. And now we're up 50% before I got to transfer in my last BTC and buy. Cheesy

That just figures, IT JUST FIGURES!

I was gone all day, come back, almost have enough bitcoins mined (.01 needed) to get a deposit, so I can exchange it for Darkcoins and what happens?  Evan announces a release candidate and once again, I will be paying a higher price for my dark!  Evan, you're lucky I adore you, you munchkin!!!!

BTW, congrats and thanks Smiley

I suppose that the DarkSend function has been included to the wallet for a long time. Why are you saying it is official released?

Darksend just sits at "Waiting for more entries 1/3" for me.

Doesn't sign, etc.  Doesn't subtract the sent balance (except for .001 network fee) and doesn't send the coins.

>Downloaded RC1
>Created a darkcoin.conf file with addnode line in %appdata%/roaming/Darkcoin
>Transferred 11 DRK to the wallet
>Trying to darksend 1.1 DRK back to other wallet
>Says Waiting for more entries 1/3 until it eventually goes back to "idle" status.

It's good to see the market finally responding to developments on DRK. Now we just need everyone to wake up to the importance of anonymous transactions!   Tongue

Try to send successively to that address, using DarkSend, 0.37 DRK, 0.37 DRK and 0.36 DRK.

This post does a good job explaining the masternodes:  https://www.darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-update-masternode-requirements-masternode-payments.225/

Evan said payments for masternodes will be implemented in the next release. Cheesy

Also, chaeplin posted a great guide to setting up a masternode here:  https://www.darkcointalk.org/threads/how-to-set-up-ec2-t1-micro-ubuntu-for-masternode-part-1-3.240/

Also is it normal for the wallet to say "must have 11 DRK to denominate" ?  I transferred back to my other wallet all but 1 DRK.

Just so everyone using darksend understands, if you are trying to send it COULD take a while for it to go through, it needs a minimum of 3, currently, inputs to process. If no one is currently "Darksending" your transaction will just be in the queue to be sent.

Since the newest version was just released today it COULD take awile for others to do a transfer to make your transaction to go through. After more and more people are using the service it will get faster because there will be more transactions.

To do a Darksent you MUST have collateral of 0.1DRK in your wallet, this is to stop people from trying to insert bad transactions. It would take that collateral if the person tried to cheat the system.

It will be VERY difficult to EMPTY a wallet using darksend once you get down to a low amount in the wallet.

So is the wallet using me as a peer to darksend?
I launched the wallet after a failed Darksend then re-opened it and saw the Darksend status was "signing".
Hope this doesn't corrupt my wallet.
