Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! With Bitcoin-Qt, it needs to be backed up at least as often as every 100 transactions (both sends and receipts) or new addresses.

Something weird going on with lottery mining, had been mining at a block for around two hours, block finally solved in which I had contributed around a fifth of all the shares including solving the block but didn't get a payout.  nothing in unconfirmed, what gives?

edit:  Nevermind, finally came through!

i had the payout cronjob run every 5 minutes, changed it to every 1 minute, so you should see it faster now

cronjob got stuck...

when that happens it will stop running, and i have to check up on it, then fix whatever is the problem, and do a forced run of it.. so that happens sometimes

but everything is accounted for so when the script is run again it will make sure to credit you the correct amount.

a week or so ago, I updated my Ubuntu to the latest, then set up mining and my other stuff, but it was unstable and finally crashed!  LOL.  So the last two days I've been doing a fresh install then reinstalling all my programs, ugh!  Finally got it running (cross my fingers) smoothly!

So anyone know how hard it is to get on coinwarz?  LOL, I like to see the charts and see how difficult, etc... the coins are currently to mine!

Well, today is the big LOTTERY at http://xco.lotterymining.com!  You need to be actively mining to participate, so make sure you are!  The  money is rolling in steady now too!  The jackpot is over 112 XCO

BTW, I'm just a client who wants to see our pool grow, nothing more!

VirWox.com USD to BTC cost me nearly 13% on commissions and total loss of over 17.5% because of exchange difference PLUS a 2 day wait for my coins!!

Sweet!  Totally like this lottery mining thing!  Hey chaositec, if you haven't made the payout yet could you split my winnings among everyone who has been mining there for any reasonable length of time?  Getting a pretty high hash rate for this pool and I feel like I'm already hogging the coins!  Grin

Hello,

I have been mining there under the name of "nakatomi". Unfortunately, my hashrate is rather low, so sometimes this miner does not even appear on the pool's stats.
Since the payment seems to be already ordered, you could share it making "donations" to other miners  Cool

We're decided we're going to be changing the name of XCoin to something else. It's already kind of confusing to search for XCoin on Google and we want to differentiate ourselves from the other company using the name.

We thought it might be fun to actually let the community suggest the future name for XCoin. Any ideas?

Ps. The blockchain will stay intact, and it's merely a domain name change, some strings in the client, and the images.

Ps2. The addresses will still start with X, so keep that in mind for the suggestions

The winner gets 1000XCO! Let the competition begin.
