Well, during the 95 difficulty, almost everybody else bailed waiting for block 15200. I decided for the benefit of all to do what I can to push to 15200. I lost over $500 in lost revenues, but I figured we cant just be stranded for a week! Plus when we finally got there I would be able to recoup at least some of the lost revenues with more DRK.

hi, I am really glad the coin got such a great new dev!

I just saw there is a new windows miner xcoin-miner - but it has like 25/50 detection rate in virustotal - thats preety dark I still have the old miner drk1.2b and it only has 7/50 so what happened? I am using the old miner for now, but should the new one be much faster? Seems to be complete different than previous. I also do not find the page where the new miner got released and discussed, so please someone tell me there is no trojan or whatever.

We changed our name, then discovered that there was already a coin with the same name.  Our developer talked to that developer and they merged.  I'm not sure if your old wallet will work with ours though  All antiviruses hate these wallets, just make sure you download the one from the front page here.  

Right Now! First thing you should do is join a pool and download the miner, and get mining, work out the wallet and everything else later!  If you can mine, now is the time!

Are the DRK estimates on the side of the pool under dashboard for an individual miner or the amount for the entire block shared by everyone?

Hey man, I think I speak on the behalf of everyone when I say that your sacrifice was very much appreciated, you're a teamplayer for sure!
Hopefully darkcoin will see a bright future(even if it might sound otherwise), and if it will, these losses of yours will be minor in comparison to your gains. And the one thing that makes the gains feel like gains, is knowing that you have worked for them!

uhm, my old wallet is Darkcoin v0.8.6.2-g542ecf3-beta and I am mining atm, but still got my old wallet adress on cpu-pool.net. Are my old coins gone? I will try to update wallet now, have not opened it since a week or so

I honestly don't know if your old coins will be worth anything, don't use anything from your old wallet, just save the information!  You don't have to bother with a new wallet right way, don't overwrite your old wallet, and hopefully you're mining in a pool??

'tis the one I'm using :/  I think my desktop is using hidden cores.  Showing 3, still I have 8 cores working on the other, it should do better, I'd think??

OK, I THINK I just about get it. Basically the very irregular manner in which the hashes are accepted by each individual worker, plus the fact that as you say the average is only taken over 5 / 10 mins means those guestimates are pretty much worthless to everyone.

Actually I think the replies to your question were misleading. You were right to ask. What you seemed to be saying was that your hashrate on your miner was reporting at about 2400KH/s, and yet even when the pool shows approximately 2400KH/s for the recent shares period (about 10 minutes), then that estimate is wrong. You weren't saying that your actual DRK/day differs from the pool estimate when the pool is reporting wildly different hashrates, but when it's actually about right.

In that case, the pool is simply wrong. Lots of pools have completely incorrect calculations for the estimates.

That is so nice of you.  Would you or anyone else be interested in selling me some (paypal or LTC)?  I'm only holding about 120 darkcoins right now and have used up almost all of my Azure free trial on this.  Stupid me, I let it run while it was on difficulty 90+ since it was a pain to set up for me since I'm new to this and I thought the $200 free trial would last at least a few weeks. Yes I'm using the latest 1.2c, I guess I thought I'd be doing better, but if my computer is accessing 4 cores, it's  in line with what I'm getting.  It's one of those AMD phenoms that have disabled cores.  I think I'll set it to 4 cores when I go to bed tonight, LOL
