How quickly will the market recover if we implement a hard fork?

Why will the market necessarily be dropping?

I dont think this will cause a drop at all. its pretty seamless as long as all the pools and exchanges up date in time.

DarkCoin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615 - DarkCoin aims to be the first privacy-centric cryptographic currency with fully encrypted transactions and anonymous block transactions.

I don't think theres going to be much of a crash, miners are going to rush to the pools after the fork.

About the anonymity, can't you just piece together who sent what by looking at the amounts? I mean, there probably won't be many people sending the exact same amount. So if I'm the only one in a block who sent 10.875 DRK, is it really anonymous?

If nothing else it shows the devs are committed and working very hard. If anything I bet it helps valuation.

Cool. I saw what happened to E-Token when they implemented their fork and I was kinda weary.

At current market prices and # of coins, we are bigger than a lot of coins on coinmarketcap.com , hope we get on there soon.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

I put in a request on the request form. You might want to do the same so we get there sooner.

I would suggest to standardize on sending blocks of 100 DRK (or whatever a convenient unit is)
Like $100 bills, if everybody only used $100 bills, cant correlate by denomination, especially if bigger payments are delivered via random delay stream

You can gain a few %.

You can also try -march=native -O3

If you can, use gcc 4.9 development version, it's faster than 4.8.

Someone is going a bit through buy walls on poloniex too. We're about to hit 0.0004 BTC . 1 millibitcoin is going to be exciting.
