What is happening with Darkcoin ? What are the latest news ? Why the price is dropping again ? What is the deal with mintpal.com and some stolen money and how that is affecting darkcoin?

Darkcoin is the only x-Coin that's reasonably stable as far as I can see.

XC - tanked
CLOAK - tanked
VRC - hacked followed by nuclear detonation by the devs
XMR - tanked
XDN - lovely, virgin territory. Pump coming soon

No FUD - I'm holding all of these except for XC which I dumped. I never expected them to get very far but I thought they'd get a bit further than their last highs.

As it is they're doing what all clones do after their initial pump by the looks of it.

I've sank a mighty 0.1BTC into XDN toknormal, I'm expecting great things, it it tanks too I may cry and eat some comfort chocolate, I warn you now!

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

As a miner I understand that without masternodes and their function (making transactions private - the point of the coin and the source of its value) and the future features they bring... trying to screw the system is screwing myself. If you are need to pay your electricity bill with your profits mine on a multipool, there are often coins that are more profitable to mine than dark. Sell those, keep your dark.

I'd recommend coinemine.pw personally.

Or use the dark multi-pool xpool.ca and you should get more dark than using a non masternode paying pool.

Darkcoin is not affected, nothing to worry about.

I dont see the price dropping. It's between 90 and 120 for more than 2 weeks now. Waiting for the storm.

The bubble has deflated, looks like the bottom was .009. The volume has fallen down last few days, no usual fluctuations. Market makers taking few days off?  Tongue It happened same with bitcoin after the december bubble - it marked end of the downward trend.

People dumping below 0.01 do it with a loss so it seems irrational. I'm wating for something to happen, probably when some good news will show up.  Wink

As a miner and as an investor, I understand that spreading coins easy to earn, that cost quite nothing: the 20% is a very bad thing. You can look at a ultra premined crypto like pandacoin in the past, or icebegcoin now, to see what happened. Crypto requires trust, scam operations kill the trust... That's all.

By the way what is the deal with miners feeling cheated with masternodes getting 20% cut?

There are hundreds of coins, why not go mine something more profitable then?

And what about PoS coins that they cannot mine? They are all scams and unfair?

The mining and dumping, can be quite interesting, to buy better coins.

And masternodes + dump too... That's free money.

Cloak tanked?? When was that. It was at 15K sat less then 4 weeks ago, today its at 77K sat! that's not tanking in my eyes!

Agreed. Over that period, it's a good appreciation.

But it's lost 50% in 4 days from it's July 10th high. Thats a tank. It was looking like a healthy correction until it broke 9 although the volume's not huge so lets see if it improves after the whole MP hack thing blows over.

Yeah, maybe a small tank but I just see it as us setting a new floor and a ceiling to bust through in the next bullrun!

I'll be holding my cloak forsure!

How could they troll if they did that? No fun in that.

PoS coins "multipools" that force you to mine other coins to buy from bagholders = "feature" Tongue

Oops !

You might want to think again about that. 10k dump in the last few seconds just pushed it into the 6 range and the trickle has become an avalanche.

I'm now at a loss. I think I'll close that chart and just forget about it.

I'm telling you folks. DRK is the only one of these IMO that isn't go-nowhere, buy to sell, opportunistic plastic toy.

watevs fud

Incomparable coins. Also committing 1000 drk isn't easy, it's a commitment to future value of the coin. And  You are banking on the future value of the coin. As am I by mining it.

At 98% or whatever it is compliance you are a very lone minority. Mine something else. Then the difficulty will drop and more DRK for me.

Hey, guys, I am sorry to ask this here, but does anyone here know what's going on with DyslexicZombei and his Darkcoin Community MasterNode Services? It seems to be not good news:

(...)
So deposits made after this last one of 100.10 DRK on 6/16, will likely be in Node 4 if your deposit kicked it over 1000DRK, and deposits like the last one above, made on or before 6/16 are in Nodes 2 or 3. Based on your deposit date and/or Trx ID above, this should tell you which node you're in when until the spreadsheets go out tomorrow.

Could you tell me what node I am a part of? I didn't see my transaction in the list you posted here

My transaction ID is:
7b116016a78cbeacbaf8ec1f674a78c029aacfdd3acfaa13c02a1993d020c163

I PM'd you on reddit a few days ago but you don't seem to check those as often.

Hi, DZ,

I'd also like to know some more details. How is the progress with the master nodes, etc.

Please reserve some time to give us feedback.

Cheers.
wtf is going on ? ...

I have BTC coming in Monday to buy my 250 DRK with but uh, there's good's I wouldnt mind spending part of it on and I have no idea whats going on with this project.

Is there a MN which I can be a 25% investor?  I need to know this and I asked originally like 5 day's ago.  Please somebody update me as best you can.

Thanks
My guess is his time us being taken up with technical issues again with the nodes?
He posted this to the Darkcoin Reddit 5 days ago:
http://www.reddit.com/r/DRKCoin/comments/2a0nlg/database_rebuilt_on_local_wallet_now_cold_wallet/
Hoping he still does payouts on the 15th.

O I didn't mean DZ specifically, just anyone that's part of running the show that might know more.

I'm sure DZ is up to his balls in work so I don't mean to be rude to him.
Very quiet - no news is good news? Undecided

Very quiet - no news is good news? Undecided

It's not good news at all. It's a community project, such lack of communication should not happen. I'm sorry to say, it's not correct.

DyslexicZombei has never connected again since July 06, but even DZ's partner, "thomas_s", who whenever I check is always online, has NEVER replied to my PMs.

The idea for this service is great, but there seems to be nothing good coming from here, and (even if they reappear tomorrow, and even bring us payouts) I do not want to continue.

I do not believe they are going to run away, because there's not this much money involved: reputation value still matters, but unfortunately things went the way they are until now.
Does anyone know the IP of node 4 and can PM'ed to me? The Spreedsheet link I received from DZ is not working on TOR.

Makes one appreciate masternodes more as they are keeping thousands of DRKs out of exchanges, used in service for the coin. If people have incentive to keep them out of exchanges, they will. But even if DRK or BTCs are stolen from exchanges the only effect would be in price due to possible dumping.

For PoS coins, 30% of coins in circulation being stolen (if what is mentioned is right) = coin is dead from future staking attacks, whether the hacker keeps the coins or sells them (if he sells, he can then try the nothing-at-stake vector with the coins he held in the past, to attack the coin @ no cost). So from that perspective, they had no other choice but to revert.

I don't feel cheated in the slightest...

I enjoy mining to feed my masternodes, it's a good marriage...

Yeah, why not simply mine on a darkcoin multipool like xpool.ca - this one pays like 50% more than a normal pool because the darkcoin prices are so low. Awesome experience.

Are masternodes having the 20% ROI taken away??

Darkcoin, the only fungible crypto currency.
