I'm still thinking about Eltito's comments on Cottage Industries...

My Spidey sensors are tingling...

That wasn't meant as a wink/nudge sort of hint, sorry if that's what it seemed like. I'm just saying that in the not-too-distant future, we're going to have access to a means of anonymously exchanging money across the Internet.  That is a very powerful thing, which has never existed in a way such as a it will once we hit open source. Use your imagination, how could that be leveraged? If the goal is to make money, I guess to me it just seems laughably myopic to be so hyper-focused on a couple DRK here or there with the rewards system when the potential outside of that is orders of magnitude larger.

Just my personal opinion on the matter.

so is everyone moving their drk to finex to trade or what?

It'll blow over. I think MP handled it rather well by being upfront about it. As we learn from forks, MP will learn from this.

I agree they handled it professionally however the perception that they were secure is now now weakened.

I believe bitfinex runs more like a proper business and imo is more secure than mintpal. They would need to be especially when they have the 2nd largest volume for trading bitcoin daily and have leverage / shorting services.

Mintpal didn't do anything but F it up. The VeriCoin team did everything to save the exchange and its currency. They are under constant attack now for making the hard choice. They effectively saved a run on a major exchange that could have effected every crypto. And people go to cut them down, when they need support the most.

Because he thinks BigC1984 represents this community...
Darkcoin is being damaged & I suspect it's only going to get worse.

Sorry for screaming but the actions of one child or paid troll drags us all through the mud.
I'm going to report his comments & monitor this little fuck like a hawk.
Son of a fucking bitch.

Long quote

Mate just ignore, by having that long thread you are actually giving him the soapbox to stand on that fuels his actions.

Ignore button is there, dont quote and dont engage and it will go by like no one ever noticed. That frustrates them more than any reply. Silence is the best killer.

I think it's obvious what type of person this is, and he supports rolling back of a block chain because he doesn't agree with who has coins. Anyone who supports something like this supports ruining crypto and making it out to a joke. 'soapmaker' is probably a federal faggot.

I must admit I pulled most of my coins outta there... for now. Im assuming Finex requires major hurdles to get verified??

No its just sign up and away you go for DRK.

Really happy that DRK has such a professional exchange to back it when there are times like this. Im only going to trade on bitfinex from now on Cheesy

Can anybody point me to a "darkcoin accepted here" logo?

There seems to be a dead link on the official site: http://www.darkcoin.io/getstarted.html#

When I click on "Download 'Darkcoin accepted here' logo" on the lower right, it just reopens the same site, without downloading anything.

Thanks.

I'm still thinking about Eltito's comments on Cottage Industries...

My Spidey sensors are tingling...
I used BTC to get mine going... I didn't even have a cottage. Crypto is win.
Go on then... I'm all ears...
I started my adapter website with cash and BTC payments only. People mailed cash and/or PGPed private keys with BTC on them. I still accept it, but most people prefer the convenience of CC. BitPay started spreading my private information around, so I cut that off. I'd like a more generic way of uploading a public key list and just incrementing, no middle men... Would work with pretty much any coin because the website never has anything but a list of public keys and the wallet could be cold for all I care... But haven't pushed that project, I'm not a coder at all...
Is it enough to keep Camo well fed with a steady supply of DRK accumulation?
Om nom nom nom nom!

Will be cancelling my DRK websites due to the community involvement in trashing another coin. I don't play negative in crypto.

I bring cryptos up. So as for the 30+ darkcoin websites and the faucet we had been setting up. They are all going to be on hold for a while. I hope that the community decides to support other cryptos in the future, rather than tear them down. Its a team game here, we all in this together, gl in your future endeavors.
Yeah, I'm sure you're throwing away your money hose because you have morals... Sure.

The events you claim you're doing it over never happened, so that'd make you stupid twice.

Nice try. Suck me sideways trollfag.

Morning folk. Just woke up and got creeped by the MP news.
What really bothers me there, is that it was not user account, but MP themselves... so why on earth only Vericoin were stolen?
If it was a service exploit, they would have gone straight to BTC, LTC and heck, even DRK.... why Vericoin?  Huh

Maybe someone at the exchange made a bad trade or didn't keep reserves high enough to meet withdrawals, so they made up a story so they could rollback the blockchain...

The new generation have arrived and they brought their own currency...

Over the past couple of days, I've made huge leaps in the Darksend technology. In fact, RC4 will be the final solution to Darkcoin's anonymity. The client will automatically look at all of your funds and it will be able to tell which funds are not anonymized, if it finds non-anonymous outputs it will run them through a darksend with other clients. After that process, users can send without Darksend using the anonymous outputs for instant transactions without waiting for other nodes (with no upper limit on transaction sizes).

The other thing you're missing is that there is a reason I forked Bitcoin. Adoption for Darkcoin will be MUCH faster and easier for vendors, because all of the APIs are the same.

Expect more news in a few days. I have lots of work to do, but soon we can start testing all of this new functionality.
